ok here is my dilemma I have a split stay at the same resort with 2 differnt room types and was considering buying the deluxe plan for the first night stay but in the morning we checkout and check into the other room under the regular dining plan. The last time we tried something like this we always had them say they couldnt pull up the plan but they ended up working it out at the restaurant but that was our last day. I dont want them to deduct my points from the second part of our stay in error and finding out at the end I owe because of the error. Is it worth this kind of hassle to pay 500.00 for the deluxe dining plan for 1 night to eat at narcoosees and one other place?

I've never done a split stay nor have I used the Deluxe dining plan. If you have the regular DDP just use 2 credits for Narcoosees and pay for either an extra TS or QS out of pocket. It would probably be cheaper than spending $500 for one day for food.

Why not just pay OOP for Narcoossee's & the other place? The DxDP is a fun thing to have, but we found that we came out about even on the $$, so I'm not convinced that you'll save much $$ this way, and the potential hassle sounds like a pain.

When I have done split stays I've added the meal plan only to one of the resorts, or we've left Disney property in between the stays, so I've never done quite what you're describing--so I don't know if it would be as much of a hassle as you describe.

For the first stay, the credits are not supposed to expire until midnight after you have checked out of the first resort. If your "leftover" credits are disappearing on the day you check out, then somehow an error is being made and you'd probably have to get it rectified at the resort or Guest Services. If this happens to you every time, then something is really wrong. Maybe you would need to carefully specify which account you want the credits pulled from at the restaurant.

If it's on both stays and you want to use 1 credit from the first stay and 1 credit from the second stay to buy a meal at Narcoosees, you can't do that. Both credits for a 2 credit meal have to come from the same account.
