Fear of heights and Big Thunder Mountain?

I am absolutely terrified of heights. The second step on a ladder makes me very nervous. I ride Soarin' once per trip. I clutch the handles in a death grip and have to be seated in between family members in case I need to grab an arm. I do think it's a cool experience and am willing to face my greatest fear to do it.

That being said, I have never had any issue with BTMRR. It is one of my favorites. I agree with a PP that it is even better at night. It is downright spectacular to be riding BTMRR during the fireworks.

OP - give it a try, I think you will like it.:goodvibes

My DH is afraid of heights, but he has no problem with BTMRR. He can only do EE once and is upset for a while after, but BTMRR doesn't affect him at all. Good luck!

As everyone stated, you should be fine. I don't like heights either, but Big Thunder has never been a problem. With all the landscaping and props you never really feel like you are that high up. Also there are no big giant drops. My son calls it the "beginner roller coaster"! It's always been enjoyable rather than frightening.
