FE- same cabin on multiple lists???

Im doing the same gift for all my lists, what happens when you have the same cabin/family group on mutiple lists? Do they get the same thing twice or just one gift? Do you have to come up with something different for those few cabins? Do you just contact them and work it out??
This is my first FE experience and its more stressful then I thought.

They would get what I'm giving, how ever many times. If I am on 4 lists and there is a family on the same 4 lists, they get what I am giving 4 times.

I would just contact them and ask them. You could mutually decide whether or not to give more than once to each other.

On our FE for our cruise we decided that if you are a duplicate you just do one gift instead of multiple, be that was a group decision. Maybe check with your groups and see what they all are thinking.

I'm only so creative. And if I gave 3 of the same gift 2 might end up in a junk drawer or possibly the garbage. Coming up with FE ideas shouldn't be a struggle. FE's should be fun and enhance the enjoyment of your cruise.
You should talk with the administrators and see if a decision has been made or if a vote could be taken for the groups preference.

Feel free to PM me some of your stress, I'd be happy to give you options where you think you have none. The first time seems so stressful.

I didn't know about the "other group" for our cruise until someone (Snowwhyt) told me about it. In the future I am going to search both places. I would check Disboards and other and see what you can find. Ours overlap both places : )

This is what we did for our last cruise. Our FE coordinator created a poll so we could vote on whether we wanted to do multiple gifts or just 1 gift for duplicate staterooms. We ended up going with 1 gift for all the multiple staterooms. It worked out really well!

I had some families like this- I gave one of the gifts I was giving and I'm guessing I received one gift as we didn't get any duplicates

Our first FE there was no list breaking. We did all 20ish rooms on the list. Then the 2nd cruise the leader split the group into two groups of 15 cabins since we all agreed 30 cabins was a little big. The 3rd cruise was a head ache and made me never want to do FE again. People wanted groups as small as 5 cabins and then wanted to be able to sign up for multiple groups. I was the leader and after a point I got fed up and said do what you want. It wasn't fun any more. FE has become so popular and complicated that I miss the simple way it use to be. Even on the sold out holiday and spring break cruises there was just 1 list that if it got above a certain number you just broke it out that way and people weren't allowed to sign up for more than 1. It also became a competition of who can give the best gift, and tracking what kid had what allergy and if this family allowed candy or not. I think we ended up giving stickers and coloring books because it was just too much of a headache. This next cruise I'm not doing anything. No meet ups, group mixology, no fish extender because all of it just ended up taking the fun out of portions of our last cruise.

yep....i had some problems just POSTING about adult gift-giving on a thread a while back. It IS a lot different (it seems) than 6 years ago. Thus, I am no longer in charge

This. Rooms that were on multiple lists for our FE groups, only expected one gift from each other room.

The only time I gave the same room two gifts was when we both were on two separate FE groups (on different sites). And the gifts I gave for the group on the other site were different than the gifts I gave to the DISboards group.
