We have 2 rooms at AKL for the first 4 days of our stay (21 year old BIL will be joining us in his own room). I want to book 3 rooms for FD BB next year. First off, can I do that (we have 3 adults total, myself, DH and BIL) and second, is it a 200 deposit per room or total? We'll be doing the Poly next year (finally getting my way since the "boys" chose this trip's resort!!
Thanks!

If you have 3 adults on property you can book 3 rooms. Its $200 per room/reservation

I have always booked two connecting rooms everytime we have ever gone to Disney and I have always just had to pay $200.00 for the reservation. I have never been charged $200.00 for each room. In fact I have two rooms booked for this December 12 - 21 and all I have paid so far is the $200.00 deposit.

You also have only 2 adults and X numbers of kids. Once you reach 3 adults you need separate reservations with separate deposits. Call Disney, they will tell you the same

We have 3 adults on the reservation, as my 66 year old MIL is also on our reservation this year and was also last September when I had two adjoining rooms and they still only charged us the $200.00 deposit. The CM told me as long as the rooms are all booked under my name and under the same reservation number it is a $200.00 deposit. And so far, that is always how I have booked it and how they have charged me.

Well then that CM lost the revenue for the booking and possibly lost their bonus if the call was monitored. Im just letting you know the policy. If there are 1 or 2 adults and 2 rooms are needed they can put it on one reservation. Once you hit the 3rd adult its 2 separate reservations. The CM may have been new, but call disney and they will say the same thing...

I booked two adjoinging rooms in 2005 with my family and my parents, so that was 4 adults and 4 children and I only paid the $200.00 deposit. Last September 2007 I booked my family and my MIL so that was 3 adults and 4 children and I only paid the $200.00 deposit. This year I have booked for December 2008 with my family and MIL and that is 3 adults and 4 children and I was once again charged the $200.00 deposit for the two rooms. None of the CMs ever told me anything different or asked for more money than that . . .?

Last year I booked 2 rooms and I had to give 2 $200 deposits. I guess it's who you have answering the phone. This was for connecting rooms and I made both deposits.

We only had two adults and 5 kids and had to pay 2 deposits for our rooms at AKL.

Not commenting on the FD as you've already got your answers for that, but I just wanted to say that you will LOVE the Poly :cool1: :cool1:. We stayed at the Poly for the first time last September and it was awesome :yay:. The rooms are very big and the grounds are just beautiful.....and the hammocks on the beach are great :cloud9:. We're trying the GF next July and we're very excited about that as we couldn't wait to try the Poly and that turned out to be an awesome stay :goodvibes. Have fun at AKL this year and happy planning for the Poly next year :dance3:.

Are you all discussing booking bounceback reservations while staying at WDW? From what I understand, bounceback ressies are booked one per adult, which requires separate reservations and deposits.

Regular reservations made online or by phone require one deposit regardless of the number of rooms as along as there is an adult (18 and up) in each room.

YMMV

You should have had to pay only one $200.00 deposit if all of the children were minors. Next time if they try to charge you a deposit on both rooms, just as to speak to Customer Service and they will link your two rooms to one reservation and will only charge you one deposit.

I wish I would have known this earlier. Oh well now I know. The kids were 15, 15, 12, 9, and4. It just made it so I paid $200 less when I made the final payment. Maybe they charged me two deposits because we originally booked a suite and then changed to two rooms. Not really sure. But we enjoyed our stay at AKL two deposits and all. :)

Last year when we booked bounceback, the first CM we got on the phone wanted 2 deposits. I said I needed to talk the deal over with my husband (we'd quoted different resorts) and when I called back I got a different CM and they only required one deposit. We're 2 adults and 5 children....so guess it depends on who you talk to?

When a CM puts 2 rooms on one res the deposit it asks for on the screen is $400. They are allowed to take just the $200 deposit though as long as its on one reservation
