Hi again! Ok! Another question for this 1st time cruiser on DCL ... In the FB cabana area, is there a snorkel area with hidden gems under the water like the snorkel area over at the main beach? I was told tonight by a CM with DCL that there are 3 snorkel specific areas on CC?? The main beach, FB cabanas, and SB ... Anybody know about this? TYIA

As far as I know, there is only one snorkeling area with underwater statues and it is near the main beach. I have been to both the family cabana beach and Serenity Bay and never saw anything. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

THANK YOU!!! That's what I thought too so I was very confused by the conversation I was having with the CM :-)

Cabana area on FB does not have an area like that to snorkel. You basically can go out a good 100 feet or so and still only have the water come up to your waist. Depending on tide of course. The area is roped off. So it's crystal clear and flat sand. An occasional fish will swim by, but not much to really see.
I walked over to the FB and went snorkeling there. That's where they have the deep water, statues and "ship wreck". But don't be surprised if a sting ray and sea turtle swim right by you. Happened to me and I was not prepared lol. Once I settled down I followed the sting ray around for a bit and it was the most magical part of my day :)

We had a cabana on FB and I walked over to the snorkel trail on the FB as well. The CM at the snorkel equipment station told me that was the only place to see anything. You do have to swim quite a way out. Past the life guards, to the far edge of the roped off boundary to see the fish etc. It was magical as Eeyorebabies mentioned. There was, however, a stingray right in front of our cabana on FB for about an hour. No swimming required. We were a bit freaked out, but one of the hosts told us not to worry, that the stingray worked for "The Mouse" :fish::smickey:
