Fay Updates on the DIS

Keeping everyone in my thoughts. I hope you all stay safe and Fay blows through quickly.

According to the 9PM news update...the storm has STOPPED! It's not moving at all right now.

Hang in there all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the midst of that thing.

My bro made a"kite" out of a plastic bag and string and 20 min later there was 10 kids with plastic bag and string kites they went prety hight lol.

Has anyone heard from the podcast team since the storm moved more north? I just woke up from a bad dream about them and the hurricane and came to see if they had posted since I went to bed and they haven't. I'm so worried for them.

It really hasn't been that bad here in the Orlando area. I am sure they will check in.

I really hope so too. It's horrible when they dont update something for some time because your mind starts working overtime, i'm sure they are just very busy tho (the last update post was quite some time ago now)

Im sure Julie is busy keeping baby-boy safe and warm:thumbsup2

Im sending my best wishes to everyone threatented by this storm and hope you suffer minimal damage if you have to suffer at all

Yeah here about 20 miles west of Orlando, we've gotten nothing. A SMALL amount of wind last night and a little rain, right now it is cloudy and breezy. I think we missed it, now it is heading back out to sea then hitting Jacksonville. Glad we didn't get any terrible weather, but kinda boring with no excitement! haha

I don't even think anyone in the Orlando area (except maybe east Orlando) has lost power, seriously it has missed us. I'm sure they are fine :) Maybe just hunkering down with their food even though it isn't a hunkering down storm for at least my part of Florida

That's about what I got last night but the winds are much stronger downtown today than yesterday. I wonder why Orange County didn't close school today? Everyone else did...I imagine some parents are going to be ticked off!

Lake Co. which is where I am, closed all schools tuesday and wednesday (I work at a private college prep boarding school though and we don't even start until this upcoming tuesday anyways).

Thanks for the warning that winds are stronger today there, I'm sure it will move this direction. haha of course since Sunday they have said, oh it is going to hit Monday evening, oh nope, Tuesday morning, oh Tuesday afternoon, and we still haven't gotten much so it makes it hard to believe them :)

JACKLYNN,

Would you mind telling us HOW WEATHER IS BY YOU THIS AM???????

I live 12 miles from the parks. Our school district was supposed to be closed today but decided to open them.

It just looks like a rainy day. Winds are not that bad. It's the coast that is getting hammered.

I'm about 17 miles north of Downtown Disney...

It is cloudy and breezy here, but that is about it. I would say the winds are about 15-20mph, which isn't too windy. I believe its in the upper 70's to lower 80's out.

But keep in mind in 20 mins it could be pouring and more windy, you never know.... or we could get nothing but a bunch of talk from the storm.

It seems to have kinda stalled in our area Brevard county. A lot of the roads are flooded and they say were gonna get another 6 inches of rain. So that totals to a foot of rain maybe more. It looks like alot of our roads are closed due to flooding.

The weather here isn’t that bad right now - light rain, light gusts of wind.

Last night we saw the worst of what we were supposed to get – high winds, a lot of rain – but we never lost power and while we had our eyes and ears open for a tornado none were reported in our area.

All WDW theme parks are open and operating as usual today.

We are keeping an eye on what this storm will do next as some models have it making a left and coming back over us (others say it will go out to see than come back into Georgia).

DJ - stay safe - you guys got the worst of this one for sure.

Well guys its that time its that time i wish i had a canoe. The water in our neighborhood has gotten to a point were we cant get out.
