Fay Updates on the DIS

off topic, but does Fay mean that a big storm/hurricane is more or less or equally likely again thisyear?
Have got visions of our October 28th wedding being stormed out!!!

:goodvibes

Just means that Fay is making landfall. :) Late October isn't that popular with hurricanes. Aug/Sept. tend to be the most popular months except for during 2005 but that was an odd year for hurricanes and one that hopefully won't be repeated any time soon.

fingers crossed, we're getting married there to avoid the inclement weather!!

Hope everyone in Florida stays safe, and doesn't eat their hurricane snack supply too early ;)

:goodvibes

Y'all want to to see one of us with that yellow rain slicker pasted to the side of our face while we clutch a tree to keep from being blown away, doncha?

Oh you know we do Kevin!:rotfl: :rotfl: Please stay safe, and hang on tight to that tree. :lmao:
For real please stay safe!!!

Yes, but you had better be recording a podcast show while you are doing it, I mean you only need one arm to hold on to the tree, use the other one to hold the mic:rotfl2:

Just kiddin, please stay safe and we will be thinking of you all.

haha while I would like to hunker down with Ice Cream it is likely we will lose power and then you just have sugary milk :(

How is everyone doing up in central and west florida? Down here in sol fla we only got some heavy rains and winds. Nothing serious.

That's good to hear. :goodvibes Thanks for keeping us posted. :thumbsup2

The heavy rains aren't here yet. The wind is picking up. I am glad to hear those in South FL are ok.

We have been told repeatedly throughout the night that our biggest threat was not wind and/or rain, but the tornadoes within the outer bands.

We were under a tornado watch from 8pm until 8am.

Thankfully, we've gotten through that without incident.

Glad to hear you all are safe so far. Hopefully, you will not get any tornados.

We have been getting hit hard all day we had a tornado down the street from us. Its pretty windy here and been raining hard all day. Im on the east coast btw.

The 5:00 advisory has it hitting us here in Jacksonville as a Hurricane on Thursday :scared1: I hope it doesn't get too bad! Everyone in its path stay safe and stockpile lots of chocolate :)

There hasn't been a lot of activity west of I-4 as of yet. It's windy and we're getting some sprinkles here and there but other than that...nothing. I hope the trend continues.

Hope all FL Disers are ok and i am praying for you guys!

Oh but of course! While recording the podcast so we can have a live update with pics:lmao:
But really yellow slickers? Yesterday I found the hurricane fashion statement! Camouflage rain poncho. I just had to buy one! Much more extreme look while plastered to your face clutching trees in a hurricane.
