I'm staying at Pop in January and I want to get a room that has view of the Lake and Epcot, preferably a higher floor so we can see the fireworks. I keep reading that people are faxing their requests and I would like to do the same. So I have some questions:

1. What is the fax number?
2. Do I put it to someone's attention? Who?
3. What exactly do I need to say?
4. When should I fax it?
5. Anything else I should know?

thanks!

Faxing was a great "secret", but as more and more people started to do it (thanks to the internet), it's started to become a headache to Disney. Some resorts (WL, and the DVC resorts) no longer accept faxed requests. Others are expected to follow suit. The preferred way to make your wishes known is on your reservation. The room assigners that try and sort out the small blizzard of faxes and match them with reservations will see your phoned-in requests already attached... it's a lot easier. If you're afraid the CM at CRO won't record your requests properly, then call them back and check. As far as lead time, I think requests need to be attached to your reservation at least 10 days before your arrival.

As the above posted stated so well. Call again and put it down on your request. I dont think faxing helps anymore at all.

Just don't! (fax the resort that is)

The proper place for room requests is on the reservation, and the proper time to do it is more than 10 days out, preferably when you are making the initial reservation. I just spoke with CRO to check on some requests we added for an April ressie, and there they were, all in order.

I'm sure you can imagine what a mess it becomes with guests faxing in requests the week prior to arrival, especially if there are a lot of them. Most of these are simply ignored, since the room assigners will have used the requests already attached to the reservation.

We keep our requests to a minimum, since it is easier for them to be met this way. And we have always gotten a delightful room.

Good luck!
