Faxing room requests to GF today...

In your experiences, have they usually worked? We're leaving on Friday (if the hurricane doesn't get us), and I wanted to request a room with a castle view in Conch Key for our 1st anniversary. I'm hoping the crowds are light. Have they worked when you've sent them? Just hoping for the best. Thanks. Only 4 days!

We last stayed at GF during Spring Break 2000. I wrote a letter to the room assignment people requesting a castle view. In the letter I gave my reason for requesting the view--we happened to have one on our previous visit, when DD was 4. When Dad showed her the castle she hugged us both and said "thank you, mommy and daddy, for bringing me here--this is just what I needed!" I was hoping to recapture that magical moment!

When we checked in we had a fabulous view of the castle and we watched the fireworks from our patio every night! At 14, DD wasn't quite as impressed but we did have a wonderful trip.
