Fax Room Requests?

I keep seeing people talking about Faxing room requests. What does that entail. We will be leaving Tuesday! YAY! and if I need to fax something please tell me.

We have faxed requests the last two or trips we have taken to WDW, and will do so for our next trip staying @ POFQ .
We have had good luck getting our requests met.
We prefer a quieter room away from the pool, where most folks with kids want to be closer to the pool. We also like to be on the top floor (we stay at modorates) so that we don't here noise from those above us. I also would rather look at a court yard than a parking lot.
The room request is sent to the room controler a few days before check in.
If you let us know which resort you're staying at, & what type (standard or water view) of room you have requested the others here on the board might be able to give you some idea of what to request. Also let us know if you want to be close to the pool/ food court/ bus stop etc.

From what i understand you can fax a room request within 4 days of checking in. fax them to the specific resort's room request area. i think you could request a specific room or just the things you are most concerned about i.e. no smoking, bunk beds, view etc.

We are staying at All Star Music. We have a preferred room reserved. We'd like to be close to the bus stop (we have 2 children)

Also, I made my reservations through Disney, and they told me to mention it was a trip for Dd's birthdays. We are actually not going to be there the date of the bdays, but both birthdays are the week after.
