Favourite Trader Joe's Products

I only go to Trader Joe's maybe once or twice a year. A few weeks ago I picked up, among other things, a can of chili. Most canned chili is trash, but theirs was pretty good. The chocolate babka, however, was inedible. One bite and it went straight into the trash.

I love the frozen potatoes, peppers and onion mix and the juice drink Dixie Peach.

Dixie Peach is awesome.

I have never seen or heard of Dixie Peach. I am definitely seeking that out the next time I am there. Two recommendations is good enough for me.

The only bottled drinks that we have bought were the regular and pink fizzy lemonade for a get-together.

I totally forgot to mention one of our most favourite items! Every Friday evening after supper I take a package of TJ's almond croissants out of the freezer and put them on a pan to rise. By morning, they are ready to stick in the oven and we have fresh baked goods for breakfast. They go great with fresh fruit or whatever else we are having. I occasionally forget to take the croissants out and boy do I ever hear about it the next morning!

I think it's a seasonal thing. There's also a watermelon drink that's really good. I think it's watermelon cucumber and available in summer.

Do they have an almond filling/paste on the inside?
The French bakery in Epcot has pastries that are a croissant with an almond paste filling and I always have to stop and get one.

I don't go to Trader Joe's much but I do like a few things.

Their Ginger Snaps are so good, really strong ginger flavor.

I got a trio of hand lotions from DMIL: Argon, Kukui Nut, and Olive Oil. I love the Argon, smells great. Haven't tried the Olive Oil yet, not sure I want to smell like my kitchen.. :)

Yes, they do, but I don't know how they would compare to the ones at Epcot. I'm going to guess that the ones from Epcot would be much classier and decadent, but the TJ's ones are pretty good for what they are. The paste sometimes leaks out a bit when they bake. We have a rule that you own the paste that came from your croissant!

Awesome. I'll have to pick some up.

They do have awesome frozen items and I usually have some in my freezer for quick meals. Just tried the meatballs and they are decent.

I'm not the fan of Cookie Butter. It's okay but I've only bought it once.

No wine at my TJ's at the moment. We just voted to give non-liquor stores the right to sell alcohol.

I do 95% of my grocery shopping at TJ's.. I'm obsessed. Some of my favorites are: organic roasted veggie pizza, reduced guilt spinach and kale dip, sweet potato chips, dark chocolate pb cups, orange chicken, caramel macchiato Greek yogurt... just to name a few.

They have some wonderful packages of wild rice mixes. I also like their garlic flavored olive oil and their Sicilian crackers.

I only get the dark chocolate peanut butter cups for DD21. They are so high in calories, I just can't have them in the house. I'll eat the whole tub!

I go to Trader joes almost weekly but don't buy much of the junky food lots of people rave about. I buy most of the regular grocery items people buy at grocery stores. I find their prices better than wegmans, stop & shop and shop rite. I also like the people who work there and that I can get in and out in about 30 minutes.

Now, some of the junky treats I buy are chocolate dunkers, movie pop corn, mini ice cream cones and sour cream and onion puffs.

Dd also likes the frozen pasta entrees and dh likes their refrigerated chicken parm.

I like their 85% dark chocolate bars.

The sea salted dark chocolate caramels are why I cross the border to go to Trader Joe's! Not sure what the actual name is but the box has a lighthouse on it! Also had some half cracked popcorn that was amazing that I didn't see the next time I went. I never remember to bring a cooler so haven't done much frozen stuff. Also haven't been in over a year, possibly 2! Getting that urge after reading this though....

Pickle flavored popcorn, cookie butter, chili lime seasoning, strawberry preserves, fried rice, frozen pizza. Also, not food obviously, but their flowers are so cheap! I always grab some for my dining table when I swing by.

Oh! And hubby loves their Kenyan coffee.

Their nuts are also a good price.

I think they have great prices on nuts and dried fruit so we stock up on that there.

I also love their ginger snaps and chocolate dunker cookies and second some of the comments about their frozen items.

One of my favorite items is the jarred bruchetta. It's seriously amazing. If you serve it on sliced baguette wig some shaved Parmesan people think you're the new Giada and bow before you.

Also had some half cracked popcorn that was amazing that I didn't see the next time I went.

That is one of my favourite items as well. I have gotten it within the last few months, but haven't checked for it super recently.

Editing to add that it is called Partially Popped Popcorn. They have a butterscotch and sea salt variety as well, but I prefer the "original" butter and sea salt version.
