We're having a meal here to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary  and there seem to be so many delicious dishes to choose from - what is your favourite?

The best thing about Boma is you can try a little taste of everything! And then you can go back for more! :thumbsup2

One thing that stinks is that the menu rotates. So on one night something that's a person's favorite will be there, but the next night it won't.

I like all the different types of hummus and soups. That's practically all I eat when we go. It's not that the other choices aren't good, I just love hummus and soup!

I agree with one of the othe posters to just try everything that appeals to you and enjoy the culinary experience! My DH is a very basic meat and potatos kind of guy who doesn't like much out of the norm. Even he tried a little of everything and liked most of it! I just remember so much of it being good and unique. I really remember the butternut squash soup as being heavenly!

The soups (yes, pretty much all of them) are our absolute favorite.

Our fav "rotational item" (Tuesdays and Saturdays, I think) are the slow roasted tamarind BBQ ribs. Ye gods, those are good.

I always get the prime rib. Its always yummy. The coconut curry seafood soup (i think thats what its called) is very good too. So is the muligatawny soup. Durban chicken is tasty. And the passion fruit tarts are good.

Carrot ginger soup is ALWAYS what I look for. Love the potatoes and prime rib; lets just admit it, 3 plates of whatever they have is an evening well spent!

Do they have the Disney buffet usual of Garlic Mashed potatoes?
(DD loves them!)

Can you see any animals from inside the windows at Boma?

She-crab soup. At that says a lot coming from a Marylander!!
DH is the meat and potatoes type also and he hates buffets. This is one of his favorite all-time places now.

No Garlic Mashed that I remember.

No, you can't see the animals directly outside the windows of Boma. That being said, you CAN walk (in about 2 min or so) from the door right by Boma's, out past the pool, to an animal viewing area. Nice way to walk off dinner, IMHO.

My DH LOVES the prime rib there. Thinks it is to die for!

Personally I have gone a couple times and didn't really care for it. I don't like curry that much or coconut at all, and there was way too much of that in all the foods for my taste.

I once got deep fried Oreos there that were to die for though ;)

We have ADR here for a dinner for our Sept trip and I was thinking of xxl'ing it because I dont know if we are adventurous for this place.LOL Me not so much but DH and DD may have a fit if they dont have "normal" food.

It isn't as exotic as you think. There is quite a bit of food that should be familiar to you.
