What about Mel's?! Without a doubt my favorite!! Love the theme and how it fits in Hollywood. Anyone else agree?

I left Mel's off because it continually gets bad reviews. Glad to hear someone likes it!!!

Mel's was the first place we ate at on our first trip to Universal 10 years ago and has become a tradition. We love it.

Looks like I should have left off Captain America's Diner instead of Mel's!

We only tried Mel's once and it was awful. Maybe it's one of those hit or miss places.

I personally don't even know where Captain America's Diner is.

Mel's is hit or miss, mostly miss.

Captain America is is located over by Spiderman on your way to Toon Lagoon area.:thumbsup2

I like the retro 1950's decor of Mel's but I've had one too many bad meals there to ever recommend it when there are so many other places that are much better. Captain America Diner and Cafe 4 are about the same as Mel's...average food at best. I skip both places.

If you go to the food sticky, you'll see vegetarian information in the initial post.

We normally skip Mel's, but for some reason we got burgers, fries, and shakes there this past October. Food was adequate but nothing spectacular.

I really like Cafe La Bamba. It's the one at the end of Hollywood, as you head toward KidZone. It's never very crowded, the chicken and ribs are really good, and you can get a good "adult beverage" at their bar.
Other favorites are Boulangerie, CMB, and Three Broomsticks.

Cafe La Bamba is usually only open for the character breakfast. It seems to only open seasonally and was open during the Christmas break...not sure if it was open for spring break.

Interesting. I just are there last month. Maybe because it was Spring Break?

I'm not a big fan of very many CS restaurants and usually eat at Mythos or Finnegans if in the parks or somewhere in City Walk. However, I do like Croissant Moon, Thunder Falls, and Three Broomsticks.

Boulangerie is better than Croissant Moon.

Thanks, I've never even noticed a Boulangerie.:confused3 I'll have to give it a try when we're there next month.

Is Green Eggs ever open? I've always wanted to try that place, but have yet to ever see it open.

Boulangerie is just inside the entry turnstiles to Studios, on the right-hand side. Many people miss it because they are so focused on getting to their first attraction. I love sitting at the outside tables watching people rushing to get to Minions or Shrek while I relax with a croissant and coffee.

Monster Cafe for how awesome it looks and Circus McGurkus because we usually end up around there at lunchtime! It looks pretty cool and it's cute having the trolley ride go through. I waved to every one coming through whilst I was eating LOL.

Green eggs is open at busy times only, never ate there.

I voted for HP Three Broomsticks and Louie's, only because I these are the only places where we ate. I haven't tried any others places.
