Favorite WDW Souvenier purchase

I have two Christmas tree ornaments I have bought on the last two trips with my DH. The first is a Honeymoon one with Bride Minnie and Groom Mickey on top with our wedding date on it. The second has not even made its grand viewing onto the tree yet. Its got Mickey and Minnie dressed like tourists on top holding a MM shaped balloon its has a spiral around the ornament with gold sparkles and tinkerbell is flying by. Its says " Our Disneyworld Vacation" and the date we were there.

Jewelry of course, my sterling silver tink earrings, my silver and gold tink earrings, and my most recent purchase, the silver mickey that is rather modern, almost scrolled, my son and I saw the necklace, but decided to buy the charm and bring it home and wear it on a silver chain that I had at home. I love it. :earsgirl:

The Disney charm bracelet I got when I as 10. I've had mine for over 25 yrs and it always brings back good memories. I hope to get two like it for my DDs when we go next week so they'll have something to remember their first WDW trip with for years to come.

here's my list of items that I enjoy: coffee mugs (now out of cabinet space);

Coffee mugs for me too and I don't have any cabinet space left either! I bet I have over 300 mugs and a good percentage of them are Disney.

My favorite mug is the 2004 one I got on our last trip. I saw it the first day we were there, but didn't buy it and then could not find it again anywhere. I was seriously upset because I really wanted that mug, especially since it said 2004 on it. Then the very last day, the very last hour, my niece and I ran to the gift shop at POFQ and there on a bottom shelf in the back was the mug I had been looking for all week! The best part was when I found it, my niece turned to me and said "That's just a little Disney magic for you."

I also really like the character shaped pens. I don't use them all the time, but I love having them in my pencil jar at work and at home.

Saw "Wicked" in your signature. My DH and I are going to see the Toronto production next Wednesday. Have you seen it? I've heard it's just great!!!

My husband thought I was crazy spending $$50.00, but I LOVE IT!!!

I've always been a big keychain fan so i like all of the ones Ive gotten from DW.

My favorites are the ones from Japan: they have these little shuriken ("ninja star") keychains. I have one on my main keychain that ive had since 1996 and a few others as well :)

I also keep a lot of the Disney bags that come with the actual products. Yeah, i know, its only a bag...but its from Disney so it has meaning. And when im back home and wishing i was in Disney, that Disney bag is a happy sight to see!

But yeah, Disney keychains and other park merchandise is really great :)

(I also keep Disneyworld maps in my jackets all year round even when im not at the parks! )

For our third anniversary last year, we went to the World. Visited Japan, and noticed that you could pick an oyster, get the pearl removed, and put it in a setting. Well, my husband had just gotten an awesome Mickey watch, so he said he wanted to get me a pearl for my anniversary present. I was wavering, but as I was looking at the ring settings, I noticed a sign that said that the pearl was Japan's third anniversary gift. Well, that sealed the deal! I chose the oyster, she shucked it (and it was huge!), and then I picked a ring setting for it. I wear it all the time, and it sort of looks like Spaceship Earth sitting there on my finger!

And I second the "IllumiNations" CD. Can't get enough of it!

When we went in January last year, we underestimated how chilly it was going to be. Sure, we had sweatshirts, etc., but it was COLD!!! The first day there I saw a BEAUTIFUL PURPLE jacket with Tinkerbell on it!!! There's a HUGE Tink on the back with Walt Disney World and then another one on the left hand side on the front. I saw it at a store in MK and wanted it immediately!!! It was $75 and I just didn't know whether or not I could spend that money on that specific trip.

BUT I DID and I LOVE my jacket!!! I wear it ALL the time!

DS9's favorite would be the stuffed Stitch I got him on the same trip at MK. He wanted it SO badly and I wouldn't buy it for him--until I had him and grandma sit down to watch the parade then I went and bought it for him as a surprise!!! That was over a year ago and he still sleeps with it. He's VERY excited about taking Stitch on the plane to WDW this May!!!!

I'm bumping this :Pinkbounc :bounce: because I'd like to get some ideas for THIS trip!!! Keep 'em coming!!!

The first year we went we had VERY,VERY little extra spending money. So most of the souvenier money went for the girls something.I have a couple of frames and photo albums. My giraffe from Animal Kingdom and my manatee figurine from Epcot are my favorites. This year I plan on getting a new frame, an album ,a flag I saw last year at Epcot with manatees on it.Maybe another animal from Animal Kingdom.April ::MinnieMo

In 2003, I went to Downtown Disney alone while DH watched a ball game at the pool bar.
I bought myself a really nice Disney watch - took almost an hour to decide, the clerk was wonderful and let me try on a whole bunch.
It is the first really nice watch I have owned, and I still wear it daily.

.. and.. although I did not receive them at the parks, my McDonalds glasses from 1996,2000 and the 100yr celebration are still our everyday drinking glasses and I love them!

I love the monorail magnet I got on our trip in January. Whenever I need a little pick-me-up I press the button and hear that favorite voice that reminds me of our many wonderful trips.

My two WDW toothpick holders. :3dglasses

I'm always happy when I'm using one of them....

I love the adorable lucky cats in the main shop in Japan, I can't remember the name of the shop, sorry. These cats have one paw up and the cat represents wealth, happiness, etc etc - depending on the color. I buy one every trip.

My Pal Mickey, he reminds me that many more trips are to come!!!!!
