Favorite souveneir for under 10 bucks?

I've started to collect the Disney Racers. I just like the way they design them

Our refillable mugs from all the resorts we've stayed at. We probably have a collection of 30 or so of those things and we use them every single day! Every time we get one out it's instant vacation memories. They just make me happy. :cloud9: And, no, we don't reuse them on subsequent trips, before anyone asks! :smooth:

stickers and license plate frames (dunno if they're still under $10). Advertise to everyone in your town you went to disney ! ;)

In Japan you can get pretty paper fans for under $5 and they'll write your name on them in Japanese.

Also, we like the Beanie Baby type stuffed characters that are available outside most rides (dressed in clothes that fit the ride theme). Last time we were there (May, 05) they were usually $8.

I really like souvies I can really use at home.

I love the tall character shaped pens and pencils. I have some in my pencil cup at home and on my desk at work. A touch of Disney at a glance.

I'm also a big fan of coffee mugs. Maybe a bit more than $10, but I love having my coffee every morning in one of my Disney World mugs. One of my favorites was just $8.95, I use it all the time.

The only souvenir I usually buy for myself is a coffee mug. It is inexpensive, gets used reguarly and brings great memories every morning with my cup of coffee!

Me too!! I have a Mickey coffee mug and a Tink one. There's just something about those mugs that makes waking up a little easier. (OK not really. I am so not a morning person, but they hold more coffee than a regular mug so I love them! ;) ) I can't wait to get a new one next week!!!

I love the Popcorn buckets..cheap and you get a souvenir and popcorn! I also love mugs...I use my small world mug every day

Oh, I LOVE the Mickey treat in the freezer idea! I'm definitely doing that with my left over snack credits!!!!! How long do they keep in the freezer?

I put ours (still in their original wrappings) in a gallon-size heavy-duty ziplock, and the ones we thawed last week were still as good as they were when fresh. They were from the first week of October last year, so that's nearly 11 months. My plan was to use them up within 12 months -- which is working out just great since we decided to go back again!

We got some of ours with our leftover snack credits, and some as desserts with our leftover CS credits, at the resort food court. Another tip: for the leftover CS meals, they had cute little plastic lunchboxes for the kids which counted as just the entree even though they contained a full kids' meal, so we got several of those -- one for DD, one for DS, and some to give to their closest friends as gifts -- and those have been awesome souvenirs, too. Then the Rice Krispie treats were the dessert to go with the entree, and we got a variety of bottled drinks for the trip as the drinks included with the entree. I really felt like we were getting an awesome deal all around!

I love the antenna (sp?) toppers and keychains. I actually have more disney keychains than I have keys :rotfl:

Every year I let my daughter pick out 1 or 2 of the Disney Pins that specifically remind her of that trip. We have now been 7 years in a row and love to look at her collection because each pin reminds us of that particular trip. We went one year during a hurricane and everyone was wearing the yellow mickey rain ponchos so she bought a pin of Mickey wearing the yellow mickey rain poncho and that is now my all time favorite. :goodvibes

One thing not mentioned is applesauce leftover form the kids' meals. It only lasts so long, but it's small treat.

Once we bought chocolates, and had no place to put them our last few hours. They were in a suitcase in the trunk of the car, but they still melted! Just enough so the designs were warped, and we couldn't give any away as gifts.

I like the picture frame magnets, but they only have so many good ones. the little magnetic stuffed characters are kind of cute too. (magnets in hands/feet)

We also use our refillable coffee mugs.

I do Disney Dollars. It's the ONLY Disney souvenir that maintains it's value after you purchase it.

A Disney Dollar is worth a real actual dollar. When you get tired of the souvenir aspect you can go spend it in the parks. LOL

.

I try to collect coffee mugs and magnets from all of the places that I travel to. These make nice souvenirs for under $10 that I use on daily basis. I have a bunch of different disney mugs, but my favorite is my new Expedition Everest Yetti mug.

One other inexpensive thing that I always look forward to getting is Cadbury chocolate bars in the England pavilion at Epcot. They make good presents too, if you don't eat them all yourself! :p

- autograph book
- pressed pennies, ok - that CAN get pretty expensive if you do a ton of them, but really, it is a cheap (and fun) souvenier at 51 cents each.
- ink pens (actually a souvenier that gets USED and using one at work brings me back to my vacation - and puts a smile on my face
- pins (this will be my first trip where I'm buying pins, I bought some for the kids to trade, but will also buy a MNSSHP pin and another pin that I will consider "keepers" and not allow them to trade).

DH bought a PDA case on sale (? about $6) It is black with a small silhouette of Mickey. At the same time I bought a nail file with Mickey.

We save the cards they give when you get off a ride if you want to purchase the picture they just took. For example: Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller coaster.

We do not consider ourselves collectors or pin traders but have somehow amassed a small collection. Last time we were at the Beach Club, DH bought a pin to trade with a certain CM. Not only did the CM trade, but he said, "wait here a moment" and went to a CM-only area and came back and gave DH 2 pins. They are slightly irregular, but Dh treasures these pins.

Magnets. I get magnets from everywhere we go. They are inexpensive and I see them everyday on the fridge, so its a great reminder of where we have been and brings back great memories.
