Favorite soup?

Tomato soup with a little milk, pepper, and lots of cheddar cheese.

Potato soup with bacon, chives and cheese.

Chicken noodle soup with a dash of pepper.

Yum, I love soup! :)

Fish Chowder or Ham & Bean if homemade. I love hot cornbread with both.
Split pea or tomato in the can.

My favourite is Chicken & sweet corn soup

I am a soup nut! Homemade, not that canned stuff. I love cheese and beer soup, any kind of clam chowder, conch chowder, turkey or chicken soup, beef barley, potato, pea, bean, but my newest favorite is ALBONDIGAS. Great for a nice cold night. Yummy and spicey, and goes incredibly well with a Grey Goose Martini! ::yes:: Go Figure!

MMmmm! I love soup, too. My favorites are homemade vegetable beef, homemade chicken escarole, and baked french onion. Oh, and I also love cream of mushroom (cream of anything, really), lobster bisque, she-crab soup, clam chowder (both kinds) and snapper soup.

My favorite is Broccoli Cheese soup. But I also love homemade Vegtable and homemade Lima Bean with ham.

My hubby is a soup nut. He loves it. Would have me making soup every other day. Today I am making chicken and vegetable. His favorite, and mine, has to be beef barley. I also make a hearty vegetable and a to-die-for bean and ham soup. Have to have hot cornbread for the bean one.
There is nothing more inviting than to walk into the house with a nice hot pot of soup simmering on the stove. Such comfort food!

I love soup and I only read this thread to torture myself. Since having to eliminate sodium and potassium from my diet, most soups are off limits.

Campbell's cream of celery soup ( my comfy, remember my grandmother, makes me feel good soup ) has more salt than 4 servings of salted tortilla chips.

I like most soups (except any containing fish). Since there are about 20 cans of it in my cupboard right now, Beef Noodle has to be my favorite. The stores around here stopped carrying it, so I found it in another area and loaded up on it.

I have sausage and spinich soup on the stove right now! Will serve up a big bowl when the Golden Globes start. And you know what, tlgoblue.....I think I'll have a grey goose martini with it too!
(uh oh...out of Grey Goose...have to settle for Stoli)

I like my homemade beef stew with a skillet of cornbread to go with it. Might have to make some next week. I also like bake French Onion soup.

Cream of Broccoli!! Love it! My Dh makes the BEST split pea and ham soup. I pretty much love all soups!!! Creamy chicken vegetable, hamburg, french onion, chili, beef stew(need corn bread with that!) even cabbage soup! Can you tell it's cold here! LOL And you know what? I don't drink them(hubby does) but a grey goose martini sounds great too! I get buzzed off the olives! LOL I'll stick with wine.

My favorite is my Mom's bean soup! I'll never be able to duplicate the taste, even if I followed her recipe word for word!

I also love the cheese soup served at Le Cellier. Another favorite is italian wedding soup.

Chicken and wild rice soup, a MN staple!

And you can't go wrong with the classic Chicken Noodle :)

Your soup sounds delicious. I have never had pea soup but is on my list of things to try. I like tomato bisque and homemade chicken noodle soup.

Italian Wedding soup. ::yes:: A nearby restaurant makes it sooo good!

I love soups (except seafood), with bean soups ranking high in my book. And no grilled cheese sandwich is complete without tomato soup for dunking.

I am glad to know I am not alone in my LOVE of SOUP!!

I am happy to eat soup day and night.. YUM!! Homemade of course!

Beef Veggie, French Onion, Chicken Noodle, Chicken Gumbo, Tortilla soup etc. etc.......

I have A Huge 8qt pot of Chicken Noodle on the stove at the moment..... gonna go get some now!

Pass the Ritz!

You have all inspired me! We have a snow day adn I think I will make a big pot of soup. I will have to let you know how it turns out--not sure what I have on hand for this venture.

Diane--I hear you! On a recent trip to Florida we brought back 46 cans of Progresso Chickarina (like Italian Wedding) soup because our local markets do not carry that variety.

Okay--so here's my latest "what do we do for a vegetable tonight" solution. My son will never go near a can of V-8 (my answer to my own dislike for actually eating vegetables) so I pour a small can of V-8 into a bowl, add some spices and a dash of milk, put it in the microwave and they slurp it down like I fussed all day.

What's tortilla soup? Anyone care to share the recipe?
