Favorite soup?

The tortilla soup I have had has been a chicken broth based soup with some shredded chicken, red onion, cilantro and other Mexican style spices. On top of the soup is crispy tortilla strips and diced red onion. Maybe some sour cream. I have also had it with a creamier, thicker broth with some type of tomato base to it. I have made it at home with the chicken broth since I do not like creamy soups. I have also modified the recipe with vegetable broth for my vegetarian friends.

Homemade lasagna soup--sounds odd, but it's wonderful!

I also like cream of tomato, my mom's beef vegetable and especially loaded baked potato soup from Bennigans.

I love all kinds of soups. Tomato, Tortilla, Clam Chowder, Baked Potato, and Broccoli Cheese are probably my faves.

DH is on Adkins and I prepared egg drop soup for him. I left out the cornstarch that most recipes seem to call for. Basically you heat chicken broth and add some chopped green onions. Beat an egg white and use a fork to slowly add it into the hot broth. Use a circular motion while the broth is gently swirling.
