Hi we are traveling with dd 5 and have ps for LTT for MVMCP we are looking for our second night in MK, I think DD has outgrown pooh so I am looking for an idea with good food other than the pooh meal. Thanks for any help, this board has been such a help! Or is it not far by bus or mono to just go eat at Epcot since there are several that I want to try there and we are going to be park hoppers! Thanks!

Crystal Palace would be my first choice, but if you would like something Pooh-less, how about the Liberty Tree Tavern? Cinderella's Castle is another thought. Epcot has tons of choices - my picks would be Le Cellier or Rose & Crown. And I really like the American pavilion food - just hot dogs and chicken fingers, but plenty of seating and the price is certainly right. Or some Mexican food at Cantina on the lake - tacos, burritos. Or the fish-n-chips stand in the UK.

It's not hard to get to Epcot, although it probably takes at least a half hour. You just switch monorails, I think at Contemporary.

We like Tony's Town Square at MK- it's Italian food that's not just spaghetti & meatballs.

You could also hop on the monorail to the Polynesian and eat at O'hana's they have great food, atmoshphere, and view of MK and pipe in music and dim the lights for Wishes. They also have coconut races and hula hooping contests but it's not loud and crazy. LTT is pretty but I wasn't crazy about the food. Tony's is good but there lunch is a lot better. In my opinion if you didn't want to try out one of the surrounding resorts rest. than I would go over to Epcot to have a meal, I think they have a better selection.

Also, Epcot would probably take 20-30 minutes but it's a very enjoyable monorail ride which is a lot better than waiting for a bus. You would just take the monorail from MK to the Ticket and Transportation Center and get on the Epcot monorail and head over there, but keep in mind that if you're going to the World Showcase to eat you have to walk through the front gate, through Future World, and depending where the country is located walk around the lake which could be quite tiring if you've been at a park all day.

Dining is so much better at Epcot IMO and well worth the trip. Plus you get a nice relaxing monorail ride (my kids LOVE the monorail).

We haven't done Ohana's yet as suggested in the other post and I think that would be a wonderful choice too. That is a quicker ride.

Have fun!

Id also reccomend Tonys. Food is good, service friendly and best of all we walked in at lunch time on a pretty busy day with no PS. Lines for Caseys and Crystal Palace were out the door but no one seemed to think to look for a restaurant near the park entrance. We got seats on the veranda overlooking the town square where we could watch the world go by and enjoy our iced tea.

Frankly, none of the sit-downs at the MK are anything to write home about. I'd opt for any of the many restaurants easily accessable via monorail.

After our last experience at LTT, we will be hopping the monorail to the resorts or Epcot from now on for a sit down dinner when we visit MK. The monorail makes it easy to get back to MK for parades and Wishes.

Do a sitdown at the MK for characters, not food. There are too many other good places to eat on site. We get something from counter service for lunch, then go to a monorail resort or Epcot for dinner. Or just about anywhere but the MK.

If we have to eat there in the evening, we usually just go to Pecos Bill's for a quick chili dog or burger.

I'd hop on the monorail also and head to one of the resorts. California Grill would be my first choice.

I'd agree, except not with a 5 year old. Dinner at CG takes a long time.
