My wife, daughter and myself are Disney junkies. We love California Grill. We have been there several times. I would like to try a new signature restaurant. Help me decide.

We have two, in a dead heat, over an 8 year period....

CA Grill (Contemporary) - Shula's (Dolphin).

Now - all time winner? Victoria and Albert's, Grand Floridian. This is FAR above a WDW "Sig". Regular dining room will set you back a good $450, party of two. Bring your suit.

Am only a DW newbie but our 5 night trip earlier this month exposed us to Boathouse, Jiko's, and Brown Derby and we are going back to all for our December trip.

Boathouse was a conscious ADR that passed the Yelp, Zagat's and Travel Advisor tests with blazing colors. It's a surf and turf restaurant with live music, and convivial crowd in Disney Springs. Nothing over or undercooked. Well edited raw bar oyster list; nicely seasoned food in general although the fried calamari with hoison chili sauce didn't appeal to our tastebuds. Didn't feel rushed, on time reservation desk even though the place was packed, and for the most part, a well trained and friendly staff. Even bought the man a slightly overpriced t-shirt to commemorate the meal, LOL.

Jiko's was chosen in advance and am soo glad we didn't same day cancel the ADR (it was a hard day's night w/ children getting lost not once but twice and me in total slit eyed mode)-phenomenal meal. White tablecloth restaurant with an innovative menu perfect for the omni/carnivore or vegetarian. 4 of us ate there and there was nothing from appetizer to dessert that I wouldn't eat again gladly. Even the young man who seemed to be fixated on hamburgers and fries stepped away from his norm with no complaints.

Brown Derby was a fortuitous walk in and it wowed me from entrance to exit. They just don't make restaurants with that kind of feel much anymore. We went for lunch and I had a corn soup with crab that gave me shivers for it's silken base texture and ability to fill me up in one bowl. We're returning for dinner on New Year's Eve and I hope the internal debate over rack of lamb vs scallops is settled by then.

Still trying to decide which French restaurant to eat in this December but Monsieur Paul is right up there and we have 2 ressies for meals at CG; a brunch and dinner.

I must say I'm really impressed by the dining choices available at DW.

Brown Derby is probably our #1 but that is just for sentimental reasons. We have been going there since it opened. #2 would probably be Tiffins then Flying Fish. We will be going to Victoria and Alberts early August and I have no doubt will enjoy it but it certainly won't be an every trip or even every year thing. I'm guessing Dean Marino didn't get wine because I'm looking at around $600 to $700 for the two of us.

On all WDW property: Shula's, no contest.

Overall Signature: Jiko

Steakhouse: Shula's, Yachtsman

I left out Victoria and Albert's as it is, without argument, the best dining establishment on property and one of the top in the entire state. It's a prix fixe menu, dinner jacket required, $185 for the 7-course, $235 for the 10-course (excluding menu upgrades and alcohol) per person.

We love Tiffins!! We've been twice this year and both visits were excellent. The service was great and the food was the best we've had on property.

We ate at California Grill for the first time in May and must of had an off night.. the service was extremely rushed (the first time the waiter came to the table he asked for our drinks and our appetizers without recommending anything) and the entrees were not that great. The Goat Cheese Ravioli and the dessert was really good though.

We were also not that impressed with the Boathouse.. but we did go for lunch and we aren't big seafood eaters so that was probably a factor.

I say definitely give Tiffins a shot. We are going all out on signatures for our honeymoon in April.. Jiko, Flying Fish, Monsieur Paul, Artist Point, Citrico's, Tiffins.. I'm so excited :flower1:

We stay at Contemporary and dine at CA Grill each trip. You can have magical meals there. Only V&A can be more magical.

But there are other excellent meals at Disney.

We also stay at Swan & Dolphin and enjoy their Signatures. We are partial to the seafood-centric menu at BlueZoo, but Shula's is an excellent steak house.

We should be returning to Capa, inside Four Seasons. Again, we prefer the tapas portion of their menu to the steaks.

Disney Springs is bustling with new options at Boathouse, Paddlefish, and others.

Flying Fish and Tiffins! Both were new to us last trip - we managed to squeeze in a second visit to Tiffins, but sadly Flying Fish was our last night and there wasn't time for another visit. Next trip we will hit them both again... hopefully more than once!

We're trying Tiffins for our first time this September in place of our usual Flying Fish

Jiko, always a good meal there and such a great setting.

Victoria and Albert's, Victoria and Albert's notwithstanding Flying Fish
