This will be our 1st trip to Disney in Dec. and I wondered what favorite little shops you would rec. going to? We have two boys 11 and 6. I love to look around in the shops. Someone had mentioned a place in downtown disney that had some really good prices. I figure we can splurge since its our first trip but anytime you can get a good deal its great. Thanks again for all the information.:santa: :santa: :wizard:

I love to shop as well so where do I begin???

Downtown Disney does have alot of shops so you'll love it there. Of course all the parks have great shops as well and believe it or not it's the smaller shops within the parks that you can find great deals!

If you have a Disney Visa you get extra savings so I actually wait and make my major purchases there and save quite a bit.

Is there anything in particular you are looking for?

No not really. Probably T-shirts and/or sweatshirts. I might want a few Christmas ornaments to remember our trip. Maybe a picture frame or 2 for our home. Any rec. for Epcot with all there shops.

Our favorite shop in all the parks is MouseGears in Epcot. It's a big store with lots of things to look at. DH can spend forever in here. In Downtown Disney there is also World of Disney. This place is HUGE and has anything "Disney" your heart desires. It can also get pretty crowded. It's in the Martketplace end of DtD. There is a store with great prices. It's sort of like a dollar store. Everything on one side is under $10. It's very tight and small, but bargains can be found. If you go thru the little door once you're inside, there is another addition to this where lots of things are $5, $10, $15. I love looking here also! There is shopping galore in Disney, and though many of the stores carry the same stuff, there is also quite a few unique places. We also love to go into the Virgin Records store in the West End(DtD). It's also HUGE with 2 floors and a coffee shop upstairs. There are just too many unique places to visit, esp. in DtD. Have a great time and watch your pockets!!:goodvibes

ETA: Don't forget to wander thru all the shops in WS in Epcot. It's fun to go in and buy some candy or something small from each country. Actually, don't forget to wander thru everything in WS! Find the nooks and crannies and explore. It's great!

World of Disney in the Marketplace is a great place, and we discovered if you buy something large or fragile, it can be shipped home for you from your resort so you don't have to worry about keeping it safe on your plane ride home, if that's how you are traveling. If I remember correctly, it was also delivered to our room from the World of Disney store so we didn't have to carry it back to the resort.

I love Disney Marketplace:) That's where I buy all my stuff, mainly because, I have a list of who I want to buy for and I just go down the list:) The last time we were there, my granddaughter thought it was great because we had our purchases sent to the resort:) She said she felt like a movie star or a millionaire..Kids are great:) I can't wait to take her and my 8 year old great nephew in 300 days..she doesn't know yet:) ahhhhhhhh I just love giving surprises:) Enjoy...

That narrow alley in WDW DTD has spilled into the adjoining store, some prices may be alittle more but its like a bargin sale of things left over from all the Disney merchandise on property and brought here for liquidation, great bargins for small things and low prices. World of Disney is a huge store, if it ain't in there, it ain't anywhere.

World of Disney is one of my favorites as well in DTD but I mostly love the shops of each country in WS in Epcot. I got a beautiful handbag in Italy in August on discount for $9.99 with a beautiful picture of Venice on it. I love the bag, I should have bought 2!!! I also found beautiful magnetic necklaces in Morocco and when DH was just there on business I made him go back to get me more if they had different colors.

Also remember when your in DTD to visit the WEst side with all their shops. DH's favorite store is Starabilia with all the movie posters, pics, etc.

There is just so much!!!!:cool1:

World of Disney at DTD....hands down! More "stuff" than you could ever wish for...the store just keeps going and going! No joking! :thumbsup2

World of Disney in DTD
Mousegears in Epcot
The Villian Store in MGM
Tinkerbelle's Treasures in MK
and the Disney Days of Christmas in DTD - I have to get at least one dated ornament every time I go.
