I agree with Simba's Mom--My fav is the Art of Disney in DTD. Unfortunately I'm only a window shopper because I can't afford anything in that store! But I fantasize about starting a cel collection.

Is there a collector's thread on this site? Just curious because I've been collecting the ceramic (cheap) shiny figurines since I was little. They don't make them very much anymore (I think just at Disneyland), but I try to find them on ebay, etc.

Travelgrl, if you mean the ATAT, he just said that they were going to be working on it. Since that was last February, I hope it's fixed by now. Maybe someone who's been there recently can tell us? I wanted to ask but felt a little silly making an entire post just about that.

Yes, I did mean the ATAT. I understand there is also a speeder bike. I was hoping for some more things. It will be fun seeing a grown man act like a kid.

He'll have a great time! There is a lot to look at inside the queing area of the ride. We kind of hurried along because it wasn't too crowded and the people behind us were a little impatient. Next time, I'll tell them all to go ahead. I plan to look at it all closely this time and get lots of pictures.

The speeder bike is cool but I also didn't get pictures of it or the kids on it. Seemed there was always a little crowd around it. The outside of the shop looks like the houses on Tatooine. I didn't get pictures of that, either. I was so excited to see the ATAT and so dissapointed when it wasn't right, that I didn't think much about pictures.

One thing I did get lots of pictures of was the Backlot tour. They had a couple of cool things on the tour and at the end was some stuff on display. I won't spoil it but your boyfriend will love it. Hopefully it's all the same and they haven't changed it.

Mine would have to be the days of Christmas... It is a must every trip. I get personlized ornaments for my kids, in hopes that one day when they move out they will have their own collection.
