Favorite Seats on Rides!

Of all the rides I've ever done at Disney on either coast, I only have two seat preferences and that's the very last row on BTMRR!! It definitely feels much faster, wilder, and you feel like you get thrown about more. Love it! Also, the top center row on Soarin, but I assume most people like that too. I love the unobstructed, straight-on views!

Has the Tower of Terror been mentioned? We seem to always get placed in the back for some reason. But our preference is the front row. First, it's good for pictures (some kid always has his hands up in our faces!). Second, it's cool to see the haunted hallway from the first row. Makes it more realistic. However, when you do sit in the front, everytime the reveal doors open up, it blows my hat off. So sitting in the back isn't all that bad.

We also love the top seats on the Omnimover. What a view of Main Street and the Castle!

And for our kids sake, we like the first two rows on Pirates. That way, they can see!

We've always asked for front row on POC because we like getting a little wet, but this year DD16 was a rebel and asked for the back. She said she really liked it but I didn't try it.

We also always ask for front row on Indy -- again DD16 insisted we all sit in back this year ... turned out the whole family preferred it except for me. It was a rougher ride and messed with my motion sickness more than the front does.

Back on BTMM.

Row B1 on Soarin' every time. Front and center with no feet hanging in your view.

We like the front on Splash or the middle. I ended up in the very back seat once this year and HATED it. It was really bumpy, especially coming down the big drop. Just really uncomfortable.

We also like the front on ToT; mainly because my kids are still short enough that they don't show up in photos on the back rows most of the time.

I like front on RSR because you can see better.

Jungle Cruise I like the front and the right, but not enough that I would ask to be seated there.

On the teacups, I always shoot for purple. They're all the same, but I just love the purple one.
On Indiana Jones, I like the front row, preferrably on the right side.
On Screamin', I like either the very front row or the very back.
On SM, I like the front row, especially with the current HSM set up.
On Star Tours, I prefer the front row, one of the middle seats. If you sit on the side, it's pretty easy to hit your head.
On Matterhorn, I prefer the front row for leg space (but almost always am in the back due to single rider).

I don't really care so much on the others.

DS will always make us wait for the front row on Space, IJ and California Screamin.

For BTMRR we always ask for the back. I hate coming over a big hill and having to wait for the rest of the train come down behind me before we can go fast again.

Space Mountain the front is best IMO but we never ask to wait for it. For us the cars are short enough that it doesn't make a huge difference.

CS I actually prefer the back because I think it's fun to see the front of the train "above" us when we go over the loop.

I prefer the back of IJA because there is more "whipping around" movement.

Splash kind of depends. For myself I prefer the back because I don't like getting wet but my kids argue about who gets the front.

I actually prefer the back on CS, for the same reason we prefer it on BTMRR. Going over the hills, sitting in the front you're still waiting for the rest of the train to crest.

We ALWAYS wait for B1 on Soarin', unless the "waiting for B1 group" takes up all the spots.

Definitely the back row on BTMRR ... front row for soarin' (preferably the center.. but just being in front is better than seeing dangling feet lol) ...front row or back row for ToT... anywhere for space mountain (I feel like all the seats are great!) Splash mountain ...ANYWHERE BUT THE LAST SEAT... it is way too wide and freaks me out lol!

As other PP has said the back on BTMRR is way better than the front IMO......we always ask for the back car whenever possible.

i have never thought about waiting for a specific seat on Soarin' before.......what makes B1 worth the wait for you?

Back row on Big Thunder. Front row is horrible.
Front row of Space Mountain.
Caboose facing backwards on Casey Jr.

Those are the only ones that I care about, for the most part.

Section B row 1 puts you in the middle of the panoramic screen and row 1 gives you a foot free view. A and C are side views and the pictures are curved.

We request the back on BTMRR and California Screaming and the front on Star Tours, Space Mountain, Soaring, Matterhorn, and Splash Mountain.

The rest of the rides we take whatever they have.

Now that we have babies and really only get one rode on each of the adult rides I pick front on space, front on Soarin.

I did B2 once, and that made me realize that the additional six-minute wait for B1 is TOTALLY worth it. I don't know that I'd wait for two rounds, but, so far (knock on wood), I've never had to think about it.

The best is when they haven't yet loaded the B section - if you ask, they will let you go there before they "officially" start loading it and you don't have to wait the extra time. It's always worth it to ask.
