Hi,
I'm in a posting mood today :p

What is everyone's favorite Scrapbooking Magazine, or do you just subscribe to all of them? :teeth:

I only subscribe to Creating Keepsakes. I can't say if it's my favorite or not since it's the only one I've looked at enough.

I have subscriptions to Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks AND Memory Makers. I love getting them in the mail. I'm never without something new to browse through.

I also enjoy Paper Kuts and Ivy Cottage - LOTS of lay-outs and not quite as many ads and articles.

...but Creating Keepsakes is probably my all-time favorite.

For me, it is Simple Scrapbooks, and Better Homes and Gardens Scrapbooks, etc.

I love how we are all so different!

I subscribe to CK, but I'm finding the layouts more "foo-foo" than my style. I keep telling myself to check out Simple Scrapbooks but I haven't yet. I'm gald to hear it's "OK" to subscribe to more than one!!LOL!!

I was thinking today about getting a subscription but didn't know which one was more my style. I'm really glad you started this thread so I can get a idea of what people think of each magazine.

bananiem I feel the same way about CK. I checked out 2 from the library today and while the layouts are gorgeous they just aren't me.

Thanks for the helpful posts!!:wave2:

I'm glad this thread is helping more than just me. :)

I'd have to agree a bit on the 'foo foo' part, I don't really dislike much, but I do have my own style and a lot of what I see isn't what I would personally do.

So I might try simple scrapbooks......and I looked into some of the others mentioned here and was able to sign up for a free magazine of ivy cottage.

I just love getting things in the mail!! :hyper:

scrapbooking etc. I like every page of it . I read them over and over.

I was going through my magazines yesterday and it struck me about subscriptions.

I noticed that in the course of a year, it is amazing how much each of these magazines have changed. You almost wouldn't recognize them.

I really think that Creating Keepsakes keeps up on all the newest trends the best. Of course that means, that they are more about using the products, then showing the pictures.

Ivy Cottage used to be my favorite. Now, it seems to be trying to be what Creating Keepsakes used to be.

I read in Simple Scrapbooks that they are changing....again! It was less than a year ago that they changed their format. They seem to use less and less products. Who knows what will happen.

What all of this made me realize is...I am not subscribing to any of them. If someone wants to buy me a gift and send it, I will be greatful, but they change too much for me!

I will check each issue out each month, and buy them with my Michael's coupons.

Greatful to live near TWO Michael's.

I subscribe to Simple Scrapbooks and Paperkuts. I like the styles of both of them. I've subscribed to CK in the past and have been debating asking for a subscription for Christmas, but I just can't decide if I get enough out of it. Most of it isn't really my style, but it's fun to look at what everyone comes up with. :)

I have subscriptions to Paper Kuts and Ivy Cottage. I don't subscribe to CK anymore because they're layouts are too much for me. I will not renew my subscription to Ivy Cottage because their service is horrible. I never got my Sept. issue and my October issue came the last week of October. I'm still waiting for my November issue. I think I'll replace it with Simple Scrapbooks!

I took that quiz above - It says I'm a Creating Keepsakes, but that is actually my least favorite magazine.

As a professional scrapbook storyteller, I just *have* to keep informed and buy most of them, but I'm really a Memory Makers girl.

Occasionally, I'll trim up a page to within an inch of it's life, but mostly, I want my selection of papers and embellishments to enhance the photos and story rather than overwhelm them.

I let the pictures tell me what to do with the page, and often do not know when I start how it will look at the end. Unfortunately, that's a very time consuming method.

I'd say I like Scrapbooks etc the best. I'm one of this scrappers that just designs a page as I go.
