My husband, 2 year old son and I are visiting DL and DCA the first week in September (first visit for all of us). My son is only 35" tall so we won't be visiting the rides with heigh restrictions as a family, however we have 4 days in the park so I would like to pick a ride in each park to do the child swap on...so, if you could only pick one "big kid" ride in each park what would it be? We might make it to more, but with a 2 year you never know what the day will bring, so I will just want to plan on one in each park.

Also...if it matters, we visited MK and EPCOT last year as a family and we used child swap on Space Mountain and Soarin (plus a few others that are only at Disney World). I also had multiple visits to Disney World as a teenager, but that was over 10 years ago so nothing is fresh in my head from those visits :)

Oh gosh you want me to only pick just one :rotfl2:....well, for DL I'd say Indiana Jones and for DCA - Radiator Springs Racers.

I know-its hard to go and NOT visit all of the big rides, but he won't be little forever and there will be other visits someday when we can all enjoy them. At DW we were very lucky and we were blessed with no waits and naps in the stroller so we were easily able to visits all the ones we wanted to go on, but I never want to plan on that and then be disappointed.

If I had to pick just one I would say Indiana Jones....so hard to pick one!!

I would say RSR and BTMRR. RSR makes me giggle every time! It is so fun that I cant help but laugh during the race! BTMRR is fun with the updates and worth a swap! Have fun! They get big fast...I took both of mine when they were just babies and now they can get on everything!

I can only pick one, that's sooo hard! Hmmm, I can't do it, it's a tie lol. I love both Pirates & Indiana Jones. They are both so fun. Don't forget that Indiana Jones has FP

Indiana Jones without question in Disneyland. In California Adventure, If you're a roller coaster person I'd go with Screamin'. If not then Radiator Springs Racers. If you can ride at dusk, do it. It's pure magic.

Thanks-my son will go on Pirates...he currently has no ride fear so we will have him on anything without a height restriction. I think we will make Indiana Jones our priority in DL.

DCA will be harder...I am leaning towards RSR, but will probably have to hide the fact that we are riding it from my Cars fanatic son :)

Tower of Terror is a favorite of ours, but don't ride it if you hate drops!

And as others have said, Indiana Jones is a must-do.

They re-vamped Big Thunder Mountain Railroad so you might want to check that out as well :thumbsup2

You definitely shouldn't miss RSR!

We are in the same boat....going with our toddler in February. Not sure how we'll work out getting on adult rides. I need to rank them or something.

Right now, I think the one I most want to get on at DCA is RSR just because I've never been on it before. But then after that, it would be California Screamin.

At Disneyland, hmm...that's a tough one. Probably Indiana Jones. And then Big Thunder.
