We are staying off-property and I am looking for a couple good, child-friendly places to eat outside the parks. I have Ming Court and Celebration Town Tavern so far. I was thinking Bubba Gump's? Any opinions on Bahama Breeze...I've read some bad reviews.

We've been to Bahama Breeze several times and enjoyed it.

Try Flipper Pizza in the Crossroads Plaza. They have many locations in and around Orlando the locatiojn below is the closest to WDW.

Awesome pizza, outstanding staff, kids menu, great price and a very nice decor.

We went to Uno Chicago Grill in Detroit once and I loved it (the deep-dish mushroom pizza to be exact!), has anyone been to the one in Kissimmee?

Wow, they have a lot of locations! We were going to do Pappa John's our first night there, but maybe that would be better. Thanks!

My vote is going to be for The Cheesecake Factory. I love this place because of the variety on the menu. There is lots for kids to choose from and I have always had a good meal there. Save room for cheesecake dessert though..... EXCELLENT!!

Nothing wrong with Papa John's pizza but Flippers is far superior

Flippers uses all fresh ingredients, sauce and dough. You won't be disappointed.

Another casual dining choice is Chipotles. I had a burrito there this past summer. Very tasty.

A previous poster talked about the Cheesecake Factory. That is still on my to do list. Another restaurant I want to try is PF Changs.
Both restaurants can be found at The Mall at Millenia.

We don't have kids with us but for a cheap dinner out and really not bad food is Cici's Pizza buffet. It's only about $4.99 for the dinner and they have a few different salads and pasta dishes and great desserts. They will also make any type of pizza you want if it's not already on the buffet table.:)

I'm not sure where the bad reviews came from (I've never seen anything but good ones) and I can personnaly attest to the fact that its really good.
Also we like Chillis,Outback and Longhorn

Both of these are very good, and fun for the family.

I don't know if they still call out "Welcome to CiCi's!" when you enter, but the pizza/pasta buffet is wonderful and the atmosphere very casual, relaxed.

Chili's will always be #1 in my :lovestruc and this last trip we discovered Chili's in the upper area of the A terminal at the airport. So all of the incredible stores :cloud9: are right there and you can do what I did - send the person in your party that would rather have a drink than shop, upstairs, and you can continue to shop until boarding! :rotfl2:

as usual Ham Ham is dead on - PF Changs and Cheesecake Factory are both superb and nice but not too fancy. And Chipoltes!!! I live for their food! This is a walk up counter style w/ incredible burritos you have to try to believe.

We went twice in July. The current price is $5.49 and drinks are extra. You can get coupons for 10% off from most of the tourist magazines.

I would say that CiCi's would be like the McD's of pizza.

Oh man...

Flippers and Chipotles sound like my kinda spots!!!

Okay... I'm officially hungry!

FYI folks a Chipotles has opened up in downtown TO.

Some local burrito places of merit are.

Quesda
Mucho Burrito

Toronto may as well be Orlando...

I rarely head that far west anymore. :sad1:

:goodvibes Thank you so much! I have more restaurant choices now than we could possibly use! We are heading to Michigan on Monday!!!! :cool1:

Speaking of Michigan, if anyone is looking for a good restaurant in Port Huron that's a bit different, we really enjoyed our dinner at the Quay Street Brewing Company. You have to get past the smell of cigarette smoke when you first enter, but the non-smoking area overlooks the water/boats. They have a beer sampler tray, and my dh loved his steak, which is saying something b/c he always orders steak and always complains about it later! :rotfl: They do have a kids menu, tho it's not on the website.

On page 2 and no mention of Cracker Barrel?!! It's a must do stop on my families US vacations! (in fact this past weekend we did a day trip to Buffalo from Markham, JUST to go there).

Grand old family table favorites (the only meatload in the planet that i will eat!) and a 4 adults with drinks for less then $50.00 taxes and tips included!!)

I have NEVER been disappointed with a Cracker Barrel.
