I was just curious...what is your favorite resort and what do you like about it?

Mine is Pop century, and I like the food court the best!

Port Orleans Riverside - meandering paths, free form quiet pools, lush landscaping, boat to DTD, food court, carriage ride, rustic relaxed feeling.

I like the Polynesian and the AKL, although I agree w/the OP- the food court at Pop is awesome!

I love the Poly b/c of the location/monorail, Ohana, Kona Cafe and the volcano pool.

I love AKL b/c of the savannah view rooms, Boma, the lobby and that fact that it doesn't share transportation w/any other resort.

Well for me right now it's the Poly (keep in mind however that I have only stayed at the values with the exception of the Poly, Oh and the villas at the marketplace before it was the institute) I love the Hawaian theming and how authentic everything is, but best of all I love the lagoon view rooms that look out to Cinderella's castle! Nothing is more Disney magic then looking out the window and seeing the castle!

Hopefully POFQ will impress me as well

I remember loving CR, but that was ages ago, so I don't know if I can count it. I really like CBR, but the size of it was a minor issue (my usual travel buddy can't walk much so we had to rely on the buses... I don't know if he would have been able to handle the closer resorts).

Is there anyone out there who likes a lesser-quality-category resort more than one from the higher level?

Yeah what Nolcrest said...plus Breakfasts at Boatwrights, legal pool hopping to POFQ, Bob Jackson the all ages piano man in the River Roost, Ole Man Island pool and play area, and after the park cheesecake at the food court! Gotta love POR!!!!

Port Orleans Riverside!

I love the grounds, the pools, the food court, the peacefullness, the river, the island...everything!

I love Wilderness Lodge! The theming can't be beat in my opinion. Everything about it was magical for us.

Of the values definitely POP they have the best food court and the best meatball subs on property (actually the best ever.).

Of the moderates CSR far surpasses the others in every way. Love the food court and the croissant with pudding and fruit they have in the bakery is to die for.

Of the deluxes I'd have to go with AKL -- it's just an awesome place to stay or just visit. I'm looking forward to the rehab at CR as that is my second choice but I've not stayed at many of the deluxes.

Wilderness Lodge wins hands down with my family. We stayed there on our last visit and now they don't want to stay anywhere else. We love the atmosphere - the spanish moss dripping off the trees as you walk down the boardwalk. Watching the electric water parade on the beach. The geyser and the waterfall. Taking the boatride home from MK.

My thoughts exactly! Although in all fairness I have only stayed at ASMO, Pop and POR. Trying out ASSP and Saratoga Springs and POFQ for our next trips, we'll see if POR remains #1!

I always thought AKL was our favorite... fabulous room, food, and atmosphere.
But last year we stayed at BC. LOVED being able to walk to Epcot (our favorite, and during the F&W Festival). Also loved our room; king bed, and terrific views of Boardwalk: all for $149/night!

I think I'll try YC next time, because you just can't beat the location!

With the money I save on the room (that I'm hardly ever in) I can afford to go more than once a year.
