Favorite Resort Bathroom?

Let's face it; we all have to go to the John at some point during the day, and no one likes a run-down BR. When at WDW, I've noticed some really nicely kept, quiet BR's. One of my favorites is in the WL. It is accessed from the outside on the backside of the resort around the waterfall's overlook. It's actually next to the cast member door. Also, the John in the Poly on the second floor is very peaceful. No one ever wants to talk about it, yet we all do it! Hope to hear about all your favorite rest stops!

Oh I loved the bathroom by the pool at the AKL. It was so nice-lol.

There is a site called Throne's of the Kingdom it rates rest rooms in WDW. Wish I still had the link but lost it when my hard drive died.

I love the bathroom at the Crystal Palace -- I think the blue flowered tile and sink is so nice!!

Uhhh, I've never used a WDW public restroom unless it was to wash my hands. Grand Floridian's beside the GF Cafe and Magic Kingdom's outside of Cosmic Rays are the only two I can recall, and the GF's had a much better atmosphere. :)

i never use the public restrooms , I hold it till I go back to the room. :o

I drink tons of water, so when I have to go, I really have to go... it's like it hits all of a sudden and I just hope there are no long lines!!!! So I'll be looking for the bathrooms A LOT while I'm there!!!

and I'll ask the age old question.... why is there ALWAYS a line for the ladies room and never for the men's room!!! it's just not fair I tell ya!! :D

There are some nice restrooms at the YC & BC near Stormalong Bay, accessed from outside.

Jeanny,

The lines are always longer for women's rooms because they build the same number of "depositories" (toilets, urinals), but guys take only half as long as women--most of 'em don't have to sit down or halfway undress or anything.

Plus add to that the fact that lots more kids go to the bathroom with Mommy than with Daddy (I know there are MANY exceptions--please don't flame me), and you've got a much slower throughput (so to speak!) in the women's room.

Or was this a rhetorical question, needing no answer?

When I was a kid, my cousin and I were fooling around in the public bathroom at an amusement park near Boston. I think we were using too much liquid soap or something.
It was NOT a nice bathroom but there was an attendant nearby. She took pride in her work and proceeded to scream at us and shoo us out of there!
My Dad was waiting outside for us. As she continued to rant and rave, he very calmly asked her,"And who are you, Queen of the Latrine?" Ha!
So, that's my bathroom story. It doesn't quite keep with the subject but it's not often I get to tell it!

I did many, many exhaustive searches looking for the mythical Thrones of the Kingdom site. Found some really interesting sites, but no bathroom reviews. At least not of JUST Disney. Here's some of the ones I *did* find (G-rated):

The "slickest:" The Bathroom Diaries
http://www.thebathroomdiaries.com

Most useless to me, who lives in Texas:
http://www.bis.baka.com/webpages5/breaker/bathroom/bathroom-rating.htm

Just plain funny (yet an interesting idea: The Bathroom Decency Act
http://www.qis.net/~jimjr/misc12.htm

You know, just in case you were wondering.

There used to be a Thrones of the Kingdom website, but it disappeared long ago. It was a really neat site!

Definitely needs no answer...

I was in line at a Red Sox game the other night and the lady in front of me (we were 20th or so in line) began chatting... (as a guy went into the men's room along with his girlfriend.. I guess she just couldn't wait) ... She had heard that the Centrum in Worcester, MA and another big place (I forget the place now) turn 2 of the men's room into ladies rooms during big events, concerts, etc. to help alleivate the ladies long lines!!

That's such a great idea... I wonder if anyone tries to use the urinals??? LOL .... it doesn't take men even a 1/4 of the time it takes women.... especially when we have to take the kids in..

Well I like.....

1. By the gift shop Tomorowland (it may be between the gift shop and Cosmic Rays).

2. Between Adventureland and Fronteirland

3. In EPCOT somewhere around Canada/England area

4. Basically any one that has a clean floor, toilet paper and doesn't smell.

And I will say the ones in MCO airport are very clean too (as compaired to the ones in JFK, LGA and BDL).

My favorite is the bathroom in the lobby of the Yacht Club....very elegant and it has cloth facecloths to wipe your hands all neatly folded in baskets!!
