Favorite resort and why?

My wife and I did the lodge last trip and loved it! Proximity to MK and the monorail via boat ride to Contemporary cant be beat. The fact that its as close in price to a moderate than it is to most Deluxe really puts it over the top.

Definitely BCV. Just returned from our first stay there and am already planning our next visit there. Stormalong Bay is by far the best pool at WDW! We love staying at the EPCOT hotels due to proximity to EPCOT and DHS as well as the Boardwalk.

GF  beautiful lobby, great dining options, incredible landscaping, beautiful views for fireworks, comfortable rooms, two pools, amazing CMs and a relaxed, magical atmosphere throughout.

If I can't stay at GF, AKL is my other favorite. The lobby is so dramatic and beautiful. Nothing beats a savannah view room or dinner at Jiko.

Beach Club, hands down. Stormalong Bay rocks, Beaches and Cream is fantastic, and you can stumble home from EPCOT. We loved it so much we bought into DVC there!

all time favorite - Beach Club for the location....for price-POP which also has had the best bus service for us. AK is a beautiful resort but too far from everything and not alot places to wander on the grounds. POFQ has a great boat ride down to downtown Disney. WL is in a great location. CB is also a beautiful resort, but bus service has never been fantastic....good just not great.

My favorite is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I love the theming and Boma and the overall peaceful atmosphere. When we were there I spent a few late nights just wandering around and it was so nice!

We used to love the Polynesian Resort but it's overpriced for us now. We also like the theming and you can't beat the location IMO. It's easy to get to either MK or Epcot and having the other MK area resorts so handy is also a plus.

Our favorite moderate is PORS. We like the theming there too plus the boat to Downtown Disney. We're trying POFQ in August so we'll see how we like that one.

I've stayed almost all the hotels but my favorite so far has been All Star Music Preferred section ground floor. I love the pool activities, food court close by, loud music, bus stop close, calypso/caribbean look. Next I'm staying at Art of Animation on opening day. So that could change.
Animal Kingdom Lodge was a haul to food court. Poly has no jacuzzi and is dark and dirty looking. Coronado was the longest walk in all of disney. Caribean Beach was too spread out too. Contemporary pool felt like I was going to lose my toddler the whole time and the monorail didn't seem to shorten my travel time and the food court didn't have steak salads. Port Orleans and Pop were awesome.
They were all pretty awesome though.

Animal Kingdom Lodge. The theme, the decor, the savannah, the amazing cast members, the rooms, the restaurants, even the gift shop feels like home to me!

I'm really surprised no one has said Boardwalk yet.

Like the beach club, the location of the BW is awesome. A hop, skip, and a jump and you're entering EPCOT. The Studios is only a short walk away (about 10 minutes for DH and I). Plus, you can walk to the BC/YC and Swan and Dolphin AND miniature golf. The nightlife on the boardwalk and all the restaurants are so nice.

It was the PERFECT resort for 2 adults traveling in late February when the parks aren't open as late. I found it to be exciting and yet romantic. We took a lot of walks around the lake and watched EPCOT's fireworks.

My favorite resort changes from year to year.

For instance, this year, there is so much construction going on at GF and the MK, that I would not want to stay at any of the resorts with views of the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Also, WL is being renovated as we speak, so when the construction is complete there, it would be at the top of my list to visit. I love the WL, and updated rooms are too good to pass up!

I also love the AKL, and right now, that resort (including Kidani Village) is near the top of my list.

Also, I have been pleased with my last few stays at Coronado Springs Resort. For the money, there is not a better experience at Disney. I love CSR.

I am waiting for my daughter to be a little bit older to try the Yacht Club and/or Beach Club. I think she will enjoy SAB. Whenever these resorts are renovated again, I will bump them to the top of my list. Ditto for the Boardwalk.

We loved POP last summer. This summer, we are staying at All-Star Movies for our first two nights. It has recently been refurbished, and I am looking forward to staying there.

We are also trying POR/POFQ this summer. Recent renovations mean a lot to me, and I love Disney's moderate resorts. We plan to spend two weeks and spend the night at several different resorts this time, mostly because, I cannot decide on my favorite!

If forced to choose, I suppose I would pick AKL. The animals and the ambience are amazing.

Love the Yacht and Beach Club. Love the pool, the proximity to Epcot, Hollywood studios and the Boardwalk. Loved it so much flew down a few days after they opened the purchase of DVC Beach club and bought in.

Never looked back and still loving my resort!

Beach Club, hands down. Stormalong Bay rocks, Beaches and Cream is fantastic, and you can stumble home from EPCOT.

:rotfl2: That's exactly what we did last week, I apologize for DH and DD's BF who song "I'll take the high road and you can take the low road..." all the way home.

I've only stayed at 3 resorts, but they have been in each of the categories. The Contemporary was my favorite, but POFQ really isn't too far behind. I just thought the CR was so luxurious and sleek. The Contempo Cafe had great QS food and the location can't be beat.

That is a tough question!

But for us, its Port Orleans Riverside. We love the theming, the boat ride to DTD, the two distinct themes, fantastic food court, grounds, pools and I could live there without any trouble!

I will say though that CBR and CSR are very close seconds. I guess in all we just really enjoy the moderates. For that matter OKW and SSR are also very special to us, which speaks to the fact we like a big, spread out resort!

All in all, we have enjoyed all the Disney resorts we have stayed at. But if I can pick only one, its POR.

Of all the resorts we have stayed, POR is my favourite, but my dream is to stay at the Polynesian.
