? Favorite resort and least favorite resort

Thanks everyone for the great answers,my current ressies are at FQ for 3 nights,AKL conceirge 2 nights(Sunrise Safari) and 3 nights BWI but since I am a woman I reserve the right to change my ressies at least 3 or 4 times before I go Nov. 27th much to the frustration of my AAA travel agent.

you will absolutely love BWI....my favorite ....and so close to everything


least favorite was DL...and that is only because it rained for 4 days from morning to nite......and with outside entrances....was even worse

from that trip on we only do inside corridors...
plus, we left the world early...trip was for 7 days but weather showed rain for the last 3 days and us water logged folks just gave up

say what you will....rain all day stinks and ruins your vacation

Thank you OP, this was interesting reading everyone opinion.

I have stayed at Pop and found it fun. It would not be my favorite, but the rooms, price and grounds were pretty great.

Thank you all for your responses,it is so interesting to see everyones impressions of the same resorts and how one persons dream resort can easily be another persons least favorite resort depending on their preferences and expectations,since this is my 1st stay on site I hope I made the right choices(FQ,AKL,BWI) these seem to be popular choices.

Favorite: So far, the Wilderness Lodge. I've only stayed at two. The feeling is great when you first walk in for the first time.

Least: The Contemporarey. I just think it has no fun theme like the other resorts. I just don't really like it. And it's way to expensive for what it is.

Favorite: virtual tie between GF and BWI. Love both -- each has its strong pluses in my book.

Least favorite: ASMusic. (I would say AS in general, but Movies was "okay.") What can I say, I like luxury and having a lot of amenities in a hotel, so AS just isn't for me. That said, I also know what I'm getting into when I stay at a value. Movies was okay because we at least got the service that I would expect -- adequate, not above and beyond. Music was a different story and I would not stay there again.

Of the resorts we've stayed at (see below):

Fave- AKL
It's unique, beautiful, good bus service, animals, Boma, nice pool


Least fave- Contemporary
Kind of run-down, some wing rooms can be far from the main building, didn't like having to transfer monorails to go to Epcot. That being said, CR has a lot of good qualities. Big rooms, good restaurants, nice views, walkway to MK. We would consider staying there again after renovations are complete.

Is there really a "bad" Disney resort?

I have stayed at Swan, WL, FW Cabins, CBR, POFQ and will shortly be adding BC and CR to that list.

I would LEAP at the chance to stay at any one of them again.

Favorite: CBR (so far). Theming is just so fun!

Least favorite is a tie:
Swan: Had a fun time (was at a convention w/parents at the time) but the decor was so loud and distracting.

WL: Was on honeymoon w/ex-husband. He was a miserable you-know-what-hole. So unfortunately I don't know that I could truly ever go back there and enjoy it.

Hi,

I've never really had a bad experience staying at Disney, but I've only stayed in two of the values and one moderate.

Favorite--Port Orleans French Quarter. Compact and well-themed with newly-remodeled rooms and comfortable beds. Beignets in the food court and a nice pool.

Least Favorite--tie between All Star Sports and All Star Music. It was like staying in a motel.

I've stayed at Pop, Poly, GF, AKL, and CBR.

My Favorite is AKL, with Poly a very close second.

Least Favorite would be Pop.


If there is a hurricane AKL is connected to everything. You don't have to venture outside. It is a beautiful resort. My kids loved the pool.

We've stayed at BC, YC, Poly, WL, POR and BW. We like the BC best. I guess Poly the least. But would stay at any of these again in a heartbeat.
