Favorite Photo Backdrop

This is a post I am going to have to print out. What great shots that I never thought of. Sure my girls will be delighted that mom will want to take more pictures of them than ever!

The best one I have is of me at the top of Splash Mountain on the way down. :Pinkbounc

I also like the Star Wars "cycle" as I call it. We have one of our DD at the controls and me on the back leaning backwards with my feet up in the air and hanging on like she just took off without warning. Very amusing picture. Dumbo is another favorite, I try to get in a car ahead of the rest of the family and I go up high and they stay just below me and I turn around and get a great shot from above.

What a great idea!! Gonna have to try this one this time!!

Our tradition is my 3 kids on Mickeys couch. It's great to see how much more of the couch they are filling up as the years go on.

I also love the brownstones at MGM and the English cottage in Epcot.

My favorite spot is (was) by the flower cart on Main Street. I read a post a while back that said that it has been removed. I hope this is not true. I'll definitely look for it on my next trip this summer.

my all time fave disney picture was taken 2 years ago. in fantasyland instead of saying men/women the restrooms say prince/ princess. i have a picture of me standing under the princess bathroom sign over towards areil. i know it's a lil silly but it is a priceless picture!

HATS! These are great! I have a shot of me wearing a coon skin cap while shooting at the shooting gallery at MK! Also, DH and I always get some great shots at Swiss Family's Treehouse and if it's not crowded, the waterfall at the Tiki Hut, before you go in for the show.

We always take photos in front of the Cinderella mural inside the castle walkway, always the scene where Cinderella is trying on the slipper. The colors show up brilliantly.

Hello everyone!!:wave2:

My favorites are the sidewalk of the StarWars Store ,if you manage well is like you are in Tatooine and the rigth side of The Grand Entrance of MGM that is a garden with plant statues of Mickeys Fantasia...those brooms are great!!::yes::
ahhh!...and one picture of dh driving the goofy car outside the bathrooms in Toontown at MK!!!!!:p

Leaving in July...looking for lime greens!!!::yes:: ::yes::

My favorite pictures of my kids (3 & 4) from our recent trip in early March were in front of Buzz Lightyear's spaceship in MGM, the snowman at MGM, and in front of the muppet fountain at MGM. The Nemo garden/fountain was also cool in Epcot. And, Dumbo and Aladdin's Magic Carpet Rides at MK.

I could be repeating since I skipped to the end to make a post

Arriving for a priority seating at WDW before the park opens. We LITERALLY have pictures of our sons dancing ALONE on Mainstreet. Ditto with the end of e-nights (magical, too, at Christmas with the lights and decorations).

This is a great thread. I love taking pictures. Only bummer is that I am hardly in them. Dh always manages to chop off my head, get a finger in there or something. :)

My3boys,
"We LITERALLY have pictures of our sons dancing ALONE on Mainstreet."

We do this too. At least one day of most trips, we will make a very early PS for breakfast on a Non-EMH day and go in before the park opens. I have great pictures at all the spots around mainstreet and there is no one but us in the pictures. I also have wonderful video of Minnie Mouse dancing with Chip and of Chip and Dale dancing together as they were goofing off waiting for the gates to open.

Some of my "must do every time we go photos" are:
The indy car outside Indy speedway
THe Lego dinosaurs outside Legoland in DTD
The Princess bench inside World of Disney in DTD
Kids sitting at top of the "Roll of Film" in HISTK play area in MGM.
Kids standing next to Bean Stalk outside Sir Mickey's-Fantasyland.
-- as well as some of the ones already mentioned --

This is a great post. Thanks for helping me remember some of my favorite spots.

We have a couple of cute ones in Mickey's backyard- the garden things show up well and are colorful. We also like Pete's garage. The prettiest pictures I have of my DD were taken outside on the walkway at CSR- lots of lovely bougenvilla shrubs with huge pink and fuschia blossoms! Although they don't scream "Disney", they are beautiful.

I'll add a few....

Someone mentioned the statue of Goofy on the bench on Main Street in MK. Well, behind that, up on the porch, there is another great statue - I can't rememebr the name exactly, but it's something like the Goofy-matic, where the kids can stand under Mickey Ears. Great spot for cute photos! (I'm not describing it well, but it's cute).

Also, in Exposition Hall (is that the name of it, it's late...It's either Exposition or Exhibition....) on Main St in MK - - it's the store where you pick up the photos they take on Main Street. If you keep going way, way back, there are some GREAT photo opps!

- Your family can sit in a bright yellow car from Mr Toad's Wild Ride

And there are a ton of painted cut outs to take ptictures with
- Mickey & the Steamboat from Steamboat Willie
- 101 Dalmatians
- Snow White
- Toy Story Alien rocket thing...

I don't know if that's an obvious location for photos, but we didn't find it on our first trip, so I thought I'd mention it. Just keep going way, way back!!

Another tip -- when your little ones are visiting the characters, don't just take shots from the front. You end up with great shots of the characters, but just the back of your children's heads. Go around to the back some of the time. You'll get that back of the characters (doesn't matter - you'll still know it's Tigger or Mickey LOL), but you will catch the expression on your little ones' faces' - pure magic & priceless!

I'll post more if I can think of a few good spots. I sure have enough photos!

Hope someone gets to enjoy these....
