I always have a horrible time getting pics of my pages. Hopefully they translate as well on the screen as in real life. It was tough picking my favorite page since I liked a lot of the ones I did last month (usual for me )
Thank you!
Yes, It was a paper piecing from the WDW coloring book. It was about 50+ pieces and it took me 2 days, but it was my first attempt at something like this. Here is the pattern if anyone feels up to trying it! The ghosts face and hands were done with velum that was adhered over the original pattern piece which I think really added 'something' to it.And I did quite a bit of chalking to add depth to it. It was a lot of work, but it was a lot of fun and and I am already picking out my next paper piecing challenge..definately going for something a little less detailed.
Thank you!
All the photo's I changed to black & white before I printed them. I made the Haunted Mansion title using a free font ( can't think of the exact name at this second) and made my first shaker box using black and white beads and using glue to make some 'web' effects inside it. I added black roses from the craft store...The Mickey stickers on the first page are Jolees. The 'stretching' pictures and the words from the ride I found when I Googled Haunted Mansion. and printed on textured card stock. The paper piecing was done with an altered picture from a WDW coloring book. (the idea came from a brilliant paper piecer (is that a word? ) from 2Peas..(again I can't rememeber her name at this second) And the little 'hidden mickeys', which I am adding to every one of my disney pages, is from a paper punch.
Please feel free to ask me about anything else I didn't cover...I am all about sharing!
Thanks again for the kind words...I have had MAJOR Scrappersblock (again, is this a real word? )this week trying to do Mickey's Philharmagic...finally gave up. Will be working on Peter Pan tomorrow.
