Now bought some Coppertone Oil-Free sunblock lotion and it is MUCH better. Not sticky, not greasy and wonderful for the face, too. Feels SOOOOO much better.

But has anyone had problems with the Coppertone Sport Continuous Spray being too sticky? I just bought it and tried it on a 90 degree day and we were miserable (only spraying our necks and arms). That stuff is like cement, and I'm afraid after a few days at the parks in August we'll feel disgusting and we may be so hot from not sweating enough 'cause the sunscreen is so heavy it's blocking pores.
I'm thinking I may try Neutrogena, but I hate to spend the money b/c so many have said it's not sticky or greasy and find that it is, like the Coppertone problems we have. Maybe I'll try water babies....
ZoZo said:Hi! It's the original poster again! I had that same problem with the Coppertone Sport spray!(I thought it was just me - so many other people seem to like it!) I had to scrub and scrub with a soapy washcloth to get it off. Hated the texture.
I just tried the Neutrogena spray and it was great! Had a nice "feel" to it and didn't feel like you had sunscreen on at all. It works really well, too! I alternate between that and the Neutrogena Dry Touch sunblock - it blends right in and doesn't feel sticky, either.
abeyst said:Thanks for posting ZoZo!! I'm glad to hear I'm not alone with CS. And it was great to hear you had the issue and found Neutrogena to be good. Now I'm definitely going to buy it.
I'll save the CS for the times we go swimming all day or something. I'll let my mom take it to the Shore, too, to use when they're in the ocean all day.

She thought it was b/c it clogged his pores and he couldn't cool down. That was only 1 isolated case. I guess you have to just see what works best for your family (at least that's what I'm gonna do). That post, along with what my kids said when they wore it has my gut telling me to find something different.

That would have been me. It was pretty scary, too! Took us a while to figure out that he wasn't sweating at all! Once he figured it out, he said no more, and used our son's water babies. No more heat problems! And no mor scrubbing skin raw to try to get it off! Now he really isn't even willing to try any other type of spray. I've seen a couple recently that specify that it won't block your pores, but he doesn't want to take chances. So, for now, we use the Banana Boat for kids (I see no point in buying more then one kind if it works for all of us). Have both 30 and 50. DS likes the 50 because it is "tear free" and doesn't burn his eyes if he accidently gets some in them. Would love to come up with something quicker and less messy to apply. But it isn't sticky or greasy, at least to us. Just have to wash my hands after putting it on. But that is better than the alternative of burning!
