Favorite non-headliners or "underdog" attractions

My daughter and I were once the only ones watching Carousel of Progress at midnight and it was the absolute best.

I will also go to the Tiki Room more than once when killing time before a FP.

I think Monster's Inc Laugh Floor is really, really funny. I laugh hysterically each time. Eh, maybe this should go in the shameful category based on the ridiculous extent to which I enjoy it.

We don't go to Monster's often but TWICE members of our group were selected to participate. One was "that guy" and, on the last trip, my friend was selected to dance a la Ellen.

I know everyone will think I'm crazy, and I know a lot of people hate the area, but we love Primeval Whirl! Even though it's basically a glorified crazy mouse coaster we always have so much fun on it... and we love the corny theming!!

These have all been mentioned, but CoP, Laugh Floor, Tiki Room and the Peoplemover.

The Seas with Nemo. It just makes me happy the whole time I'm riding it. And O Canada. We listen to the music from both of them when we're home.

Ooh, and Animation Academy!!!

Another vote for Primeval Whirl. Woo doesn't belly laugh on that ride - start to finish bubbling, shaking laughter.

Carousel of Progress
Universe of Energy
Muppet Vision 3D
Primeval Whirl
And I do have to admit that the corniness of Captain EO amuses me every time!

CoP is a must do for me.
SS (although I loved the original more with the cop hiding behind the sign and poor guy blowing on his feet)
Figment (again loved the original more)
Jungle Trek in AK

We don't do thrill rides in general so most of our favorites tend to be the less popular attractions. We love Mickey's Philharmagic, Winnie the Pooh, Magic Carpets, Its a small world, Gran Fiesta tour, Nemo, Little Mermaid, MuppetVision, Tikki room, Rafiki's Planet Watch, and Monster's Inc Laugh Floor.

We love it, too! I can only stand to ride it once, but my kids usually ride it 2 or 3x in a row. Super fun.

Tom Sawyer island
People mover
Magic carpets
Swiss family tree house (but I think that's gone now)
Country bears. I can't wait to take my girls. It was closed the last few times we went

I was about to cry! The Swiss Family Treehouse is one of my favorites! It seems you meant the one at DisneyLand, which closed in 1999. I'm a bit relieved, though sad for you folks on the west coast.

This became one of our fave attractions on our last trip !!! Love it !

The people mover is super underrated, IMO. What is better than a cool place to rest your feet with a nice view and breeze on a hot MK day?

I have missed the People Mover every time I've gone. I was determined to ride it last June, but it was closed for refurbishments! I see many people have mentioned it in this thread, and I've seen it spoken of fondly around the boards over the years. I'm going to make that a priority next time I go!

I don't think that anyone has mentioned 'Stitch Great Escape' :confused3 Many other non-headliners have been mentioned though. Does anyone actually ride Stitch more than once? We did it once about 5 years ago but never again! I wonder why they keep it open. There must be some people that like it? :crazy2:

I have enjoyed reading some of the favourite non-headliners and it's made me think about including a few of them on my next trip that I wouldn't normally do (such as Country Bear Jamboree- my mom loved that ride so I'm going to check it out again:-))

Another vote for people mover!

Dapper Dans and streetmosphere performers in general (not sure if those count!).

People Mover
Monster's Inc Laugh Floor (younger d was selected to participate)
Universe of Energy
Small World - it was supposed to be down on our last visit, and then it wasn't! Yeah!

Reading this thread reminds me that I must try Carousel of Progress. Never done it!

But Stitch. Oh, Stitch. That is the one ride that I refuse to even try. I have read so many terrible reviews of it-- just imagining the scent makes me feel sick and I've never even done it. I would maybe give it a try if not for the gross smell.

I wish it were still ExtraTERRORestrial or whatever it was called. I've watched the video on YouTube and it looks awesome (and scary!).
