Personally, any trip without the kids I have to make my way to Hard Rock Cafe. Though it would be good with them as well, I really enjoy their selection of adult drinks and the atmosphere.
There are several lengthy threads over on the 'orlando hotels and attractions' board but we love Giordano's. My favorite restaurant ever is Fogo De Chao and they have an Orlando location but I'm not sure I'd want to eat that much on a Disney trip!
l like Orlando Ale House too. (Also known as Miller's Ale House) 2 locations near WDW. One at the near the Crossroads near DTD and one on 192 near AKL via Sherbeth Rd.
BUT MY FAVORITE is Celebration Town Tavern. It is in Celebration very close to WDW. Good Food, Good Prices, nice atmosphere. http://www.thecelebrationtowntavern.com/
I love the Ale House but the LBV location is always packed, between the concentration of Cast Members and off-site guests, and packed means LOUD.
One of my Windermere friends loves Yellow Dog Eats for unique food and wine, which is up the road about half an hour. Basically if you take 535 (Apopka-Vineland Road) north past Ale House, Crab Shack, Giordano's, etc, you'll run into it.
Also if you just take 535 up about five minutes into Bay Hill, you can hang a right on Sand Lake Road and find yourself in Orlando's "Restaurant Row." There is a Bar Louie there, great food and drinks, plus you might run into a random Orlando celeb.
