I *think* it opens with the park. But if it's an early entry day, don't waste that time eating! For Carnation, we usually do a mid-morning reservation, after the crowds have started rolling in, and count it as lunch.

You just can't beat breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace for us. Eat outside and enjoy stunning views of the Mark Twain and the Rivers of America, and soak up New Orleans Square before it becomes a blanket city with people camping out for F!

Mickey pancakes are always delicious there, as a PP said.

Sitting down for breakfast in the park seems like such a waste of valuable time. That said, I really want to do this some day. It's such a great setting and I know what you mean about doing it before the area is loaded with people. Even lunchtime it seems too hectic to really enjoy.

Yes it is a waste but it is also am important part of the day and if you enjoy yourself that is all that matters.

Depending on what sort of breakfast you're looking for, Steakhouse 55. Quiet, comfortable, great food at decent prices. Yes, it's outside the park, and yes, it's time that could be spent doing other things. But you have to fuel up and relax at some point, right? Why not breakfast?

If you're worried about missing out on prime morning hours in the park, you can always grab a small snack first thing in the morning, do the first couple hours after rope drop, then take a break for breakfast. You get back into the park about the same time other people are running out of steam from their quick breakfasts and/or thinking about lunch. Works perfectly for us.

Thanks for all the suggestion. Dh and I will be spending a weekend sans kids. We have a walk in Walts footsteps tour for one morning scheduled, dessert package for F! For another night. But for breakfast I needed ideas! We don't care so much about the rides or trying to see everything. It's more about a relaxing weekend for us (especially after yesterday's trip with the kids. I might have forgotten to give my son his meds and it made for a very trying day!)
