I was considering doing one of the MK Dessert Parties with my family until I saw the price and it blew me away :rolleyes1 . $70+ a person can buy a lot of treats even at WDW!

I have no problem staking out a spot for my family 60-90 mins before and have done so in the past, but I do like the idea of having some fun treats to eat while we wait. Does anyone have a favorite dessert or location in MK to get Desserts besides the Dole Whip?

If you are a fan of the dessert parties I want to hear from you too. What makes it "worth it" from your perspective? Im keeping an open mind here and I realize that everyone has different things they like to enjoy. Maybe I will even give one of the parties a try.

The Neutella Waffle with fruit at Sleepy Hollow (highly versatile, it can be a delicious and almost nutritious breakfast, lunch or dessert) there are also funnel cakes.

Ice cream sundaes at the ice cream parlor including the cute kitchen sink

I really want to try the rocky road sundae at Golden Oak Outpost, But I bet they close well before fireworks.

There’s a bunch of stuff including fudge at the candy shop on Main St.

We do dessert parties for the exclusivity of the view and the desserts are good too. We don't have to worry about saving a spot. We stopped doing MK when the assigned seating vanished. We still do Star Wars and FEA because they serve liquor. Cost is tight but we budget out the regret.

My favorite dessert is the Ooey Gooey toffee cake at Liberty Tree Tavern. And I did the Dessert party once, and was very dissappointed at how quickly they took the desserts away at the end and how they didn't replenish things.

Also churro ice cream sandwiches.

I really loved the Boston Cream Pie at Liberty Tree; I think it is only on the lunch-time menu though. I liked it better than the Ooey Gooey Toffee cake, actually. There are also really good treats at Big Top Souvenirs, one of them being the peanut butter cookie, num!

We always get sundaes at the Plaza ice cream parlor - it wouldn't be a trip without it! We do the dessert parties for the great view, less crowds and not getting crushed by a stampede at the end of the show. We always do the plaza garden viewing which is cheaper than the terrace viewing party.

ice cream cookie sandwich! Used to be at sleepy hollow but i think you can get it at the main street ice cream parlor now. they are huge and you can pick what ice cream you want inside
