I, too, really liked and miss Crystal Palace when it was a buffeteria. I still like and eat at Crystal Palace, but I liked it better as a buffeteria. It was not crowded, nor so loud. A mariachi band played there too, while we were there several times. I don't think it was the Mariachi Cobre that play at Mexico pavilion. I also liked CRT when it was King Stefan's Banquet Hall, and you could walk up and get in. (Though you could with most restaurants in 1995 through early 2000's, before the internet told everyone they had to get ADR 6 months ahead.) I liked the Catwalk Bar, and loved the Soundstage Restaurant---all the set pieces decorating it. It was so cool. A favorite memory is breakfast at Tony's Town Tavern. Sitting out on the patio having Si and Iam waffles and enjoying Main Street wakening, the balloon salesman coming out, the horse-drawn vehicle, etc. And families arriving and strolling, not running, to the Main Street music loop.
Obviously, it is a wonderful memory.
