Favorite/Least Favorite Counter Service in the parks?

I was wondering what your favorite and least favorite counter service restaurants in the parks were?

We had a truly horrible meal at the International Food and Film Festival and a decent meal at Mel's Drive In once. I can't really remember other places we've eaten so they can't have been too good.

Any hidden gems I should know about, or places to definitely avoid?

At USF - Best: Nathan's Hot Dog Stand near Jaws
Worst: International Food Court

At IOA - Best: Blondie's Sandwich (I think that's what it's called)
Worst: Superhero Cafe (once again, I think that's what it's called)

I'll agree that the worst at Universal is the International Food & Film Festival.

We love Cafe La Bamba at the studios. We did not like Richter's Burgers, but it could have just been a bad day for them; the burgers had no seasoning at all. We also were not impressed with the food at Monsters Cafe; although we liked the atmosphere.

At IOA, we really like Captain America's and Burger Digs. Everyone raves about Thunder Falls Terrace and the Enchanted Oak, but we haven't tried them yet.

Best in IOA: Enchanted Oak. We love the atmosphere, it's a great respite from the heat and crowds. The food's good too!

Best in US: Louie's. Their whole pizza is the best value in all the Orlando Parks. Personally I love the veggie pizza. I get a slice of that for myself and a whole regular pie for my hubby and kids.

I won't say which ones are the worst, as we haven't tried them all yet!

Best in IOA: Enchanted Oak. We love the atmosphere, it's a great respite from the heat and crowds. The food's good too!

I agree with your choices, if I'm actually going to sit down and have a meal, it'd be at Enchanted or Louie's. Although I usually just snack while in the parks...cotton candy, lemon slushes, cheese fries, pretzels, turkey legs (okay, that's more than a snack), etc. My usual plan is to eat breakfast before entering the parks, snack while in the parks and then eat dinner at one of the CityWalk restaurants or offsite.

We usually eat lunch at our resort, but we've eaten a few meals in the parks.

In US, we like Beverly Hills Boulangerie & Schwab's Pharmacy. We haven't eaten at Monsters Cafe or Richter's Burger Co. in quite a while, but I remember them being pretty good. From the sound of things, we need to give Louie's a try. The one place we've eaten that I can honestly say was probably the worst meal I've ever eaten anywhere was at Mel's Drive-In. This was for breakfast though. I'm not even sure if they still serve breakfast or not. We've never eaten lunch there & we probably won't.

In IOA, we like Croissant Moon Bakery. The only other place we've eaten CS there was at Captain America Diner. We wouldn't recommend it.

As a side note, has anyone eaten at Blondie's? Is it good? Can you get the sandwiches to go? I've often thought it would be nice to order a deli sandwich to take back to the resort for lunch.

Best in IOA...Enchanted Oak, worst-hummm usually don't eat counter service

best in US..International Food and FilmFestival.Worst...Mel's and Monster Cafe. Truly horrible food at both.

Best at Universal is Cafe La Bamba and worst by far is Monsters cafe (as mentioned the atmosphere is cool though!) I also like Ricters for a Burger.

Best at IOA is Thunder Falls Terrace and Enchanted Oak. I dont have a worst cause this is where we always eat when not eating at Mythos (table service).

The above would be lunches. Breakfasts we love both bakeries in each park.

We LOVE the Enchanted Oak and I agree that Thunder Fallas is good too. I like the bakery at the front of Universal (forget the name) and Richters. Oh, and Starbucks.

The only bad food I've had was at Mel's. I even liked the Monster Cafe even though the best part was deciding on a room.
