We'll be going to WDW for DD2's first trip in October and my parents & brother/SIL will be with us.:cool1:

Our 9-year anniversary will be the next week & since we'll have DGM & DGF with us, we're planning on taking advantage and having them watch DD one evening so that we can go out and celebrate. Also, if my charting is right, we'll also have JUST found out that I'm pregnant with #2 and will be finding out whether I am or not while we're on vacation (sorry, that's probably TMI, lol).

I'm not sure right now whether they'd want to watch her for the whole evening or just after we're back in the room around her bedtime.

If they'll watch her at dinner, I have no problem finding something for us to do. But if we can't get away until 8 p.m., anyone have any suggestions of what we could do??

A great place for dessert, some nice special activity, etc? We went to WDW for our honeymoon back in 02 and that's the last time we've visited so I'm pretty unfamiliar with everything now.

I have no advice to offer for your activities, but I wanted to say...Congrats on your anniversary & :baby dust: hope you get the positive test you are wishing for!! Enjoy your trip!

i would have dinner at yachtsman steakhouse, walk thru the boardwalk and play a few games, then walk over to fantasia gardens mini golf. we love to do this :)

Thanks merbobear!! :goodvibes

LuvLuvLuv, we've never been over to the Boardwalk before, but that sounds right up our alley. We love playing mini golf!! Lol. Though the steakhouse is definitely not for me. The only meat I eat is chicken. Are there any other particularly tasty dinner spots around there? Maybe even dessert since I'm not sure whether we'll be out in time for dinner or not.

Shula's does have chicken and seafood on their menu also. I also suggest Il Mulino, Flying Fish and Kouzzina.

the boardwalk bakery!!!! mmmm chocolate peanut butter cake mmmm!

yachtsman has other options too.

we like the captain's grille for dinner as well. laid back and lots of options!!

DW and I spent an amazing evening @ the California Grill. If You ask ahead of time and don't mind waiting at the bar for a drink or two they will give you a table on the window facing MK. You and DH can watch Wishes from there whiling enjoying a spectacular meal. It was truly one of the most special moments of our lives together, and the best way (in my opinion) to view Wishes.

Good luck and Congrats!!!!

The Boardwalk area probably has the largest concentration of restaurants in a realtively close area. Plus there is Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club for dessert or the Boardwalk Bakery.

Flying Fish on the Boardwalk is a good restaurant. I also like Il Mulino which is either in the Swan or the Dolphin. I think Kouzzina is OK, but the atmosphere is a little more casual than Flying Fish or Il Mulino. Todd English's Blue Zoo is also in either Swan or Dolphin which is supposed to be a good restaurant, although I have never been. There is also a sushi place in one of those 2 hotels which is supposed to be good if you like sushi.

Research the Boardwalk restaurants and the ones in the Swan and Dolphin. I think it could be very romantic to have anice dinner, then stroll the Boardwalk and have dessert. If you go to the Boardwalk bakery, they have little tables along the Boardwalk, some near the water, so you could have dessert "al fresco" under the stars with the water lapping.....

If you go to Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club for dessert, you could always get something to go and then sit in the chairs on the beach....also romantic....

When we stay at POFQ we love to take the boat to Downtown Disney. It's free and a quick ride.

You can go to Raglan Road and just order drinks and/ or desserts, then watch the Irish entertainment. They have dancing and music and it's a lot of fun.

I am in the same boat! My mom is going with us and has offered to keep the kids one night. We will eat dinner as a family and then go out alone after the kids have gone to bed - about 9. Would you do the extra magic hours at Magic Kingdom - open till 2am or would you do the Boardwalk?
