I love so many of his movies, but I think my all time favorite is The Quiet Man with Maureen O'Hara. Corned beef and cabbage just don't taste the same on St Patty's day unless we are watching that movie. :)

Big Jake.

"Jacob McCandles?? I thought you wuz dead."

"Not hardly"

It's hard to pick one but I think I'll go with Red River.

I loved John Wayne movies. Some of my favorites were Mclintock, True Grit and the Hellfighters.

Definitely "Quite Man".

We were very fortunate in that Maureen O'Hara was our across the street neighbor for many years here in St. Croix. Her late husband Capt. Blair owned the seaplane service here, until he died tragically in a plane crash. Maureen kept her house here and lived here for a good portion of the year. She spent her summers in Ireland. She recently sold her home here, so she's no longer our neighbor. :(

She's a very cool lady. She's even come to a couple of our community theater productions.

Tied

The Quiet Man (his best non western/action movie) ;)

The Shootist (his last about a gunman dying of cancer, he died in RL 3 years later):(xx

Another vote for the "Quiet Man"!!

Hellfighters (of course)
The Quiet Man
Hatari
and MCCLINTOCK(all time favorite)

Steve

The Quiet Man.....in fact I watched it again today:D
