MYTHOS without a doubt!

I like the others, also, but MYTHOS is my heart.

Mythos, hands down. We've eaten at and enjoyed both
Confisco and Enchanted Oak. The food and atmosphere at
both restaurants is good and both are much, much better than
your average theme park fare, but Mythos is just in another
league. If Mythos were not within the confines of a theme park,
it would be the kind of restaurant where the men wear jackets
and power lunches are held. It's just that good. How lucky that
we can enjoy a meal of this quality in shorts, tee shirts and
sneakers! This isn't just a restaurant, it's a complete dining
experience.

Mythos!!!
What a surprise! LOL
But the best bar is the Alchemy Bar!!

I was wondering if I should give it a pass on my trip, as the sister-site to this one says about Mythos:

Mythos Restaurant - Fresh seafood, grilled meats, entree salads, wood-roasted pizzas and pasta. This restaurant was originally billed as a 5 star restaurant, although they are now backing away from that comment. The food here is below average, and not worth the price.

I guess all the votes so far disagree with that review?!

Honestly, I have never heard it was billed as a five star restaurant, I wouldn't put it in that category. I have always enjoyed the food & service at Mythos. It is one of the best theme park restauarnts I have ever encountered. I would certainly not rate it as below average, or not worth the price. It's very reasonable.
Why not try it & make up your own mind. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Okay, so you can't keep me away from Mythos... I'm going for sure. Now... lunch or dinner? :)

I love it at night, the atmospher is so neat at night. Same menu for lunch or dinner. It keeps weird hours so check before you go.
I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Well, when we originally opened, they had grand schemes for the place. Some of you might remember the lobster, cornish hens and duck sausage, etc. The powers that be decided if they wanted to make any money, the mneu had to appeal to broader tastes and be a little more affordable (afterall, its smack dab in the middle of a theme park).

That being said, the quality hasn't dropped a bit. We still make our own chicken stock, our own sauces, import our pasta from Italy, and make everything fresh and to order. If that equates to poor quality, I don't know what that reviewer's smoking.

Did I mention Universal's Executive Chef, Steve Jayson, was the 2000 ACF Nat'l Chef of the Year? How about Chef Mark Wachowiak, the restaurant chef? All he's done is won several medals in competition at the Florida Restaurant Show.

Also, don't forget -- TheSecondCook is very handsome! :)

Well except for Secondcook, i do not think anyone that reads this board has eaten at MYTHOS as often as i have and the review from the link is just wrong:mad:

it must have been written by someone that is a big fan of slim jim's and Fresca:smooth:

Hey, deja vu thread!
Voted Mythos. What everyone else says about it AND, they do up big groups pretty righteously too (MG-Con '02).

MIB9's: And what's wrong with Slim Jims? They got great commercials!
Jim

This Canadian girl says: What the heck are Slim Jims?! My Grandma always had Fresca in the fridge, but no Slim Jims. Deprived, or spared?

Anyhow, I do love all your comments but now lets get into the details... what things are so amazing you keep ordering over and over again? Give me a rave about a dish, a drink or a dessert -- I'm not fussy! Well, about food yes... but about your glorious descriptions...no.

And if anyone out there has been to Tchoup-chop, tell me what you had and what you thought.

Cheers everyone!

At Mythos: for dessert--the warm, gooey, chocolate banana cake. It's beyond delicious!
Their menu changes, but if you like fish and they still have the Corvina on the menu, go for it. They took the wonderful pork sandwich off the menu- boo-hoo! Pizza of the day was also excellent.

HEY! - I love Fresca!!!

Can't stand Slim Jims though!

Barry!
Don't tell me you eat Slim Jims as well as those Pork thingy's!
And you wonder why you don't have a girlfriend! ;)

Don't you like to wear everything else? hehehe!

If you like mushrooms they have (had?) a "confit of mushrooms" that's a mixture of different shrooms in a cream sauce, mmm.

Also, the mixed greens salad with tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella is terrific.
