I usually order the rissoto. it is never the same and when prepared by the creative MYTHOS staff it is a taste treat. I never thought rissoto could taste so good.

I always pay attention to the specials as well.

Sue, the dessert chef has in addition to the Banana Gooey Cake, Cheescake roll-up, what use to be called apple tatin which is an apple pie, open top with cinnimon and carmel and ice cream.

when we had MG-CON at IOA we got to try some special ice creams that had been prepared for a special event that had occured earlier in the week.

so always ask about anything special. if they have anything, you will probably be very pleased with the creation. :smooth: :smooth:

Mythos is wonderful. I've had the rissotto 2X. One dya it was topped with a chicken breat rolled with spinach, red pepper etc and surrounded with baby squash. The 2nd time it was Shrimp and rosemarry. I think the shrimp and rosemarry might be on the reqular menu now instead of a rissoto of hte day. However htye might have gone back to the rissotto of the day. Another time I had the gnocci which was wonderful. DS always gets a wrap. DH had a really good chicken sandwich. Can't remember what Sis or Niece had.

Well, someone has to. It was going to spoil if he didn't! :)

Hate to break the news MIB...Susan is no longer with us. She left for The California Grill at the Contemporary two or three weeks ago.

Bad form ol' chap.

Well Mythos lost a good one then. .

I hope they do not start to offer the desserts from production only. but if they do then i will have an appetizer with the meal, since app, meal, and dessert is just too much for those of us watching our figure's:p :p :p :) :bounce:

So for those of us watching our figures...

does Mythos offer any low-carb (and sugar-free) options for dessert? Or are the desserts so to-die-for that you'd have to indulge (just this once)?

Kevin-Well, Curt (our deaf cook) is going to continue making the deserts in house. He's got all of Susan's recipes, and does a really good job.

epicurean girl- Nope, no low-carb/no sugar deserts (the closest would be the creme brule.)

Thanks, TheSecondCook.

I will just plan ahead (or plan on being VERY good the week AFTER my vaction).

I make a fairly decent sugar-free creme brulee at home, so I won't be ordering that... but that Banana Gooey Cake sure sounds tempting, or will it be the Apple Tatin? So many decisions, maybe I should go twice....

Uh-oh. I think I just gained 2 pounds thinking about it.
