Hi! I posted this on the hotel board but i figured I'd get some input from my peers :) -

My best friend and I are planning a trip to Walt Disney World the summer of 2008 for graduation BUT we have no idea where to stay, we want a comfy/nice room (something more than just a hotel room) but affordable for the two of us. What are your opinions? Whats your favorite hotel and why? Thanks for the help and input! Anything helps right now!

The Beach Club is my favorite resort. I love it! Although I love the Polynesian, too. It was really nice. They had really cool news.

my mom took my best friend and I to Disney for my 16th birthday last summer. We stayed at the Wilderness lodge in a suit. it had a bedroom with 2 queen size beds, a bathroom a mini wet bar type thing and a living room. it also had 1 1/2 balconies. My friend and I liked this hotel because it was big, it had nice rooms that weren't that much, there was a good size pool, you had access to the magic kingdom by boat(which was a nice treat) and there was a small kind of secluded beach that we liked to just sit and chill at.

Poly. No doubt.

I disliked the Wilderness Lodge, it lacked theme to me, it was rather boring. It only had one shop and the layout was confusing and annoying. At least I got fresh air at the Poly.

pop century. its convenient. cheap. and the setting is just fun and more interesting. but, its considered a "regular hotel room" with the disney flare. for something more "luxurious" the poly is good. :3

We always stay at the Yacht Club, but the past few years we've split our trip between 2 hotels (last year was WL/YC, this year is Poly/YC)

Deluxe resorts are probably out of your price range so you're probably better off going to a moderate or value resort. Of all the value resorts I like All Star Movies the best. As for moderate resorts I like Port Orleans Riverside..

Oh, every single one has it's own "greatness" to it but nothing, I repeat NOTHING beats the Contemporary.

Although, the Wilderness is very nice and the Poly is nice. We realized (we were in Thaiti Building) that walking to the TTC is faster than walking to the Poly's monorail stop..

HAVE FUN!!!

Polynesian is by far my fave.! I've stayed there pretty much every year since 1995. It has a great atmosphere and wonderful people.
But it might be a little high for your budget unless your parents are helping w/ the cost. I would suggest staying at a mod. or a value. CB is very nice and port orleans is close to Pleasure Island so that's convenient if you wanted to go out there. I've never stayed at the values so I can't give you any info. on those. Hope this helped! :)

AKL ( Animal Kingdom Lodge ) is my favorite! It's amazing to see all the animals! The hotel is very nice too, the smells are wonderful. The smell of the african wood burning, and plus the animals don't smell! The pool has a waterslide. Mara's, the counter service at the hotel, is great too!

I love the Boardwalk and Animal Kingdom Lodge. For more affordable i would reccomend the Port Orleans French Quarter.
