We are going for one week in November and I have a lot of Hilton points to use on our stay. Any recommendations?

I can't decide between the Doubletree Suites by DTD, the Embassy Suites, or the Hampton Inn. We will be taking our 4 month old daughter so I am heavily leaning towards a suite so we can put her crib in a separate room if we want to and have the extra room.

We will be renting a car. DOubletree has the great shuttle service but Embassy Suites has the great hot breakfast and the evening reception with free drinks and snacks.

Have stayed at DTD Hilton, Doubletree, LBV Hampton, Downtown O ES, LBV ES, Intl ES and LBV South ES.

Spent 9 days at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South in May, and returning for a pre-package night next week. It is just one year old. It is beautifully decorated, extremely classy, the suites were upscale with more storage than I knew what to do with. The breakfast was the usual great cooked to order with some days having special items, the managers reception was never crowded and had some veggies and stuff we don't usually see, the pool was large with resort like furnishings with oversized hot tub and outdoor bar. The sit down restaurant was very reasonable with a wide range of food. My adult kids used the fitness room, said it was fine for what they needed.

The service was some of the best I've ever experienced!! My DH was already in Orlando at the Ritz Carlton all week and he said the service at the ES matched what he had over there. We were to all park gates in 10-13 minutes and the huge plus is that with all the work and now traffic in DTD, you avoid all that. This hotel is on 535 and you shoot straight to parks on World Center Drive. There was a grocery across the street and Walmart a few blocks away.

Another plus was the points were less there than Doubletree! and no parking fee or resort fee. We had a room facing DTD and could see fireworks from our windows. I'm going to have a hard time staying anywhere else when not doing Disney hotel or need some space.

Thanks for responding! I was just considering the older ES property off Palm pkwy sine we have stayed over there before and are super familiar with the area. However, you are really making the sale for the South property! I looked at the resort pics and wow, those rooms look so nice and modern.

I've stayed at that one and it was fine, but then this new one is super nice.

It may be a couple more miles from Disney property but with all the traffic being reported in DTD with the construction, avoiding that and shooting straight on to property is a huge plus.

ES lake buena vista south it is! Thank you.

We stayed there for one night in May before checking into the BC. The rooms were really nice and lots of space. The staff was great but we all thought the food was awful. In particular the breakfast. Even the stuff we usually eat at the Hampton Inns tasted better. And the restaurant was better but not good.

Distance wise when I put it in mapquest it wasn't really any further than the old one you just come up a different route.

Did you get an omelette made?

We had omelette every morning and they were excellent cooked right in front of us. My DH also got custom eggs each day. There was nothing I tried I didn't think was good. I did not eat the bulk scrambled eggs or sausage. I also had fresh fruit, bacon, variety of pastry and this awesome bread pudding thing. Variety of juices was nice too. We ate every morning for nine days and it was consistently good.

Love Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South! We have stayed there three times in the last year using points. It's a great value and a beautiful hotel!

Did you get an omelette made?

No but DH did. Not sure what my sister had but we all agreed it was awful. I had pastries and oatmeal and French toast. I don't know how one can screw up oatmeal so bad but it was terrible. No idea what they did to it or used but it didn't even taste like oatmeal. The French toast was dry and pretty flavorless. Pastries too I thought were very poor quality.

And I'm not picky in the least about that stuff. Generally fine with the Hamptom Inn free continental stuff.

Otherwise hotel was nice.
