Try a horse and buggy ride around Port Orleans. It's a nice relaxing way to finish your day. Takes about 30 minutes, but it's pricey ($40-50 ish per person?).

I think a lot of people bypass the Flights of Wonder show at AK, but it's one of my favorites. It's low key and humorous, but with a great message. The birds are beautiful and the CMs, some of whom have been there for years, are amazing. Some of the birds fly just over your head, and that's an experience you'll never forget!

YES! I totally agree. During one of our first trips with the kids, people recommended that we do this and I had NO interest in "birds". Well it is now one of my favorites! FOTLK and FOW are my faves!

We love the hidden Pascals by the Tangled bathrooms in MK. At Christmas, we spent an hour looking for them all. It was one of our favorite trip moments, and so simple!

How have I been going twice a year for the last 5 years and never knew this???
Everytime DH and DS have the same routine everytime we pass them:

DH: Cindy has a castle, Belle has a cottage, Snow white has a mine filled with Gems...Heck even Gaston gets a tavern

DS: Poor Rapunzel does a movie for Disney....and all she got was bathrooms!
(at this point they think they are a riot because they've said it at the top of their voice and I do my eyeroll)

Now Im going to make them stop and find all the Pascals.

i agree, we had never seen this show and ds and i watched it on our trip 2 weeks ago. we both thoroughly enjoyed it!

I didn't plan nearly enough AK time...and I didn't get to see it. I was high on my to do list though. I'm doing it this September. I'm planning my days around the latest AK closing so I can be sure to see this!

I love the long boat trip to Ft Wilderness. Once they stopped the boat in the middle of the lake for lightening! Another trip (February) it snowed on the way over! I called out "iceberg's ahead" but nobody laughed. Oh well.
At Ft Wilderness you can go to Circle D Ranch and see the heavy horses in their stables and Cinderella's ponies. They are not quite as fancy without their pumpkin carriage but still very cute. Small children can ride.
It is very quiet and beautiful and you can sit on the porch of Crockett's Tavern for a quick drink.

One of my favorite things to do, is ride the entire Monorail loop. MK and Resort one, and then switching at TTC to the Epcot loop. I love it. But then again, the Monorail is my favorite WDW ride!

We are doing HDDR this trip. I am wondering if the horses are out when its dark? We probably will get to Fort Wilderness after dark.

I know it's not really "hidden," but Gaston's Tavern quickly became one of our favorite spots. On our last day at MK, right after "A Frozen Holiday Wish," we walked over for a quick snack (cinnamon rolls and chocolate croissants), and enjoyed the relative quiet by the "fire," sat in Gaston's chair, etc. It was a really nice break from the crowds and the relative cold January evening.

Yeehaw Bob performs at Port Orleans Riverside several evenings a week and puts on a great show.

Some of our favorites are:

Sitting on the dock on Tom Sawyer's Island and enjoying a little quiet.
Relaxing on the beach at the Poly and watching the Electrical Water Parade.
Riding a full loop on the monorail.
Flights of Wonder Show.
The Flower Gardens Trails at Epcot.
The little nooks and crooks in each of the countries in The World.
The Geyser going off at Wilderness Lodge.

"Hidden" only in the fact that I rarely see it mentioned on here, we love the Boardwalk area. Our last trip, we had supper at ESPN Club and then walked along the boardwalk enjoying the music, atmosphere, and performers. So relaxing, so fun. It'll be part of our first day at Disney again in March.

We go on adult only trips now days but have been going at least every other year for 30 years (sometimes every year and sometimes more than once a year). Something I always love to do, that isn't so hidden but nice is have tea at the Grand Floridian. It always reminds me of when I was a little girl and having tea parties in the "fancy" living room with my mom. I also love to wander through the rose garden at Epcot, so many different types of roses and it usually nice and peaceful. My son, DIL and I love to do wine tastings around Epcot. You can do them at Italy, Germany and France. We usually have one extra non-park day built into our trips and take them to hotel hop. It's fun to see the hotels we haven't stayed at and to walk around their grounds and check out their food. Sometimes, if they are slow you can get someone to show you a room too.
