Favorite hang-out spot?

Great thread! One of our favorite spots to sit is at night in Epcot at the England pavilion...the little area tucked back by the garden. We go right after the fireworks while everyone is leaving the park and sit on the park benches for about 20 minutes. Usually have the entire area to ourselves....

Sitting at the tables for the margarita bar at DTD enjoying a drink and watching the pontoon boats and water sprites. Second would be on my balcony at OKW with coffee in the am watching the river otters from bldg 45,46 or 55

At the Yacht Club, those rocking chairs to the left when you go out the back. In the morning, heaven. :cloud9:

At AKL, really anywhere in the lobby in the morning. Just sitting there and listening to the great music and relaxing.

The little courtyard between Crystal Palace and Casey's Corner on Main Street, so pretty. :lovestruc

Anywhere in the France pavilion, but especially by the giant fountain at the front, or by Boulangerie Patisserie on a sunny morning with a little table outside. :)

The Writer's Stop in DHS. On a rainy day at the Studios, grab a carrot cake cookie and a big comfy chair and I am all set. :cloud9:

Anywhere near Pizzafari/Camp Minnie Mickey in AK. I love the theming and the colors and all the details. Just lovely. :)

Oh, I'm gonna have to write these down, you guys are good. I love all these places.

But my favorite, one you sometimes have to wait for, but is worth the wait...the rocking chairs by the Hall of Presidents. Rain or shine, a nice place to take a break and soak up the atmosphere in Liberty Square.

The seating area by the Dawa bar is one of my favorites. Also loved the seating area by the waterfront in the old Mexican counter service area (can't remember the name. How soon we forget) but unfortunately its not there anymore.:headache:

I personally am a big fan of the TOWL. I have alwayed enjoyed a modern atmosphere and nothing beats having a nice drink while the fireworks are going off at MK. Every trip my wife and I spend MANY evenings relaxing the night away. :cloud9:

World Showcase, Sitting in front of Germany: benches facing the lake back toward future world; sunny afternoon @ 80 degrees, light breeze, big BEER and big PRETZEL:thumbsup2.....ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!:goodvibes

We love the little tables on the side street off Main St. in MK next to the glass shop. We get a treat from the Bakery and watch the world rush by.

It would have to be one of two places...

The Lobby at Wilderness Lodge OR the Carolwood Pacific Room at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge!!!!!

We parked there for about 3 hours on our December trip - we fell asleep in the giant over-stuffed leather chairs in front of the fireplace. It was SOOO amazing!
We had just done the Magic of our Steam Trains Tour that morning and it was a really chilly December day - so falling asleep by the fire after a nice hearty lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe was simply AMAZING!!!

I am typically not the type to 'chill out' while on a Disney vacation - BUT - on this particular day - it is just what was in order.

If only I could spend an hour or so there every afternoon, my life would be amazing!!!!! :cloud9:

INCREDIBLE!!!! :woohoo:

Sunset boat ride from SSR or OKW to DTD, absolutely peaceful and gives me that ahhhhhh feeling..
Peace and quiet of a resort hot tub late night, if no one else is around-with cigar.

I have so many places we love to sit.

1. OKW balcony you can't beat it in the morning with a cup of coffe,

Here are a few others...

France pavilion, by Boulangerie Patisserie in the evening with a little table outside sipping on a glass of wine and eating creme brulee.
Actually each World Showcase pavilion has their own little area I love to sit at.
The benchs near the ferry landing at OKW.
The sitting area near the Dawa Bar in AK.
Rocking chairs at AKL watching the animals.
TOWL
Love the beach at the Poly in the evening watching Wishes.
These are just a few of my favorite things....

I love the beach at BLT-Contemporary at sunrise - no one around, hard to believe you're at a busy tourist destination. Also love the boat dock and beach at the wilderness lodge. A new favorite that I never knew about until last trip is the nature trail from WL to FW. Goes along Bay Lake for a while and ends up at the stables at FW. Very pretty & quite.

-sitting on our balcony at Kidani with a cup of coffee in the morning, then
sitting there again in the evening with a glass of wine......ah,heaven.
-the Dawa Bar at AK, people watching and watching the entertainment
-people watching anywhere, but especially around the world showcase

-wonderful dining...Jiko's, Californi Grill, Narcoose's, Brown Derby...

My first thoughts were of the rocking chairs in the observation deck at Kidani Village, or the balconies at OKW, BUT then I remembered our favorite location in MK: sitting on the veranda at Tony's Town Square (usually with our tiramisu) watching the parade go by (or just watching the crowds go by)...especially for our anniversary...romantic and relaxing! Ahhhhh...!;)

Sitting in front of the castle, when the park closes, watching everyone rush out, watching the "kiss goodnight". Heaven.

Or sitting anywhere in AK, we love that park.

While at HHI - sitting on my balcony watching the marsh. I could sit there all day.

I love the beach at BLT-Contemporary at sunrise - no one around, hard to believe you're at a busy tourist destination.

We've been lucky enough (on our 2 BLT stays) to get a Lake View, looking over Bay Lake...the Contemporary Marina...Wilderness in the distance..

Having coffee in the early morning as the World wakes up..hard to beat!

At WDW...my balcony at OKW or riding the monorail.

Vero....rocking chairs on the porch of the main building or the deck of the Green Cabin Room.

Hilton Head.....sitting on my balcony looking for dolphins or hanging out in Big Murgie's Den

My favorite spot is off to the side of the dancing fountain at Epcot--I particularly loved it in December when the Lights of Winter were up--sadly, those are now part of the past; I still miss them. But I also still love that dancing fountain!

MY DS' favorite spot is in one of the chairs on the beach in front of the Beach Club.
