Favorite Guilty Pleasure on DCL

The chocolate covered marshmallows with Mickey sprinkles in the concierge lounge! I don't even like marshmallows, but those are heaven!

Getting the giant cookies, then going to the soft serve and making ice cream sandwiches! Have to eat quick though as they melt fast...messy but yummy ...and calorie free of course!

The "English breakfast" at Cabanas on a sea day; baked beans, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. It's the only time I ever eat like that (especially for breakfast) but really hits the spot

Hi, I was just wondering if this is on a particular sea day as this sounds wonderful and I would not want to miss it. I am currently scheduling a character breakfast on a sea day and have a couple of options so I just didn't want it to interfere with this English breakfast. Thanks.

the ability to order two desserts when you can't decide...and have your server bring you a third you'd looked at and said IN YOUR HEAD "I bet just taking the churro off would make it gluten-free" before you'd even ordered any. :) and no one looking askance at you for having three dishes in front of you!

Cabanas is a buffet - so you'd be creating it yourself.

I just didn't know if they had these items on different days of the buffet. Thank you for the fast reply.

They are all pretty basic items - we only went twice this past cruise, and I knew what I wanted so I didn't look around, but I'd imagine those are out most every day.

I love getting on the ship early and wandering around showing our new guests the ship. I dream about standing on the Promenade deck waving good bye to everyone on shore. My most favorite moment is when I shut my cell phone off and put it and all my family's phones in the safe for a week.

DH and I prefer the early seating, but on a last minute cruise it was unavailable. So all week we ordered room service cheese and fruit platters, and had our own happy hour on our verandah to hold us over to dinner time. Great conversation and views!

Sleeping on an extended veranda overnight.

Half a bagel with cream cheese and as much smoked salmon as I want.

Eggs Benedict.

A whiskey tasting

Escargot.

Apple strudel

On CC at cookies taking the giant chocolate chip cookies and making an ice cream sandwich with the vanilla ice cream.... OMG.

Mid afternoon naps. Between the ocean and the bed those are the best naps ever. And I can snuggle under the covers because the bed will be made again. DH says room service is his. We did get an afternoon snack before nap time. :earsboy:

7. We usually to go to the pirate buffet after fireworks. It only lasts 45 minutes, so you not only need to know that it's going on (I wasn't even aware of it on our first cruise!), but you need to be prompt or you miss out! DD loves to eat turkey legs! ARRRGH!

Are there turkey legs at the pirate buffet?? My husband would freak! That's his favorite Disney treat, he gets one every WDW trip!

I haven't read all of the replies but I immediately saw a few mentioning the Mickey waffles. I can tell you without a DOUBT that the Mickey waffles on the ship are NOT the same as on land (at least as of our last 2 cruises on the Fantasy in April and May of last year). We have cruised 9x, been on all four ships - and although my memory isn't currently at its best due to medical procedures over the last few months - I can tell you with CERTAINTY that they are not the same and haven't been in ages (if ever). I complain about it EVERYTIME I fill out the survey at the end of each cruise. They obviously use a different mix, freeze them before serving, or something... They have a totally different texture than the waffles on land or any waffle I've had for that matter. I have even spoken to one or more chefs about it. It is the worst part of our cruises for my husband and I. We absolutely love Mickey waffles and the fact that you can't get the same ones on the ships as the ones from the parks really sucks. I guess if that's the worst thing I have to complain about regarding DCL then I'll bear with it. However I will never stop writing the complaint on my comment card and when we cruise Concierge for the first time next month I will be sure to mention it as my CM husband hides in the corner listening to his crazy Mickey waffle loving wife...!
