Favorite FW memory

My Mom and Dad always rented a RV for our family vacations to WDW. We always stayed in the 100 loop but it was always a different site.
There are a bunch of things I always think of when remembering our family trips to FW but the funniest would have to be when my sister dumped the canoe with my brother and Dad because she was so scared the alligators were going to get her! We all still laugh over that one!

Oh my! I believe I remember Crazy Bob the tram driver from my first trip to FW in '75. He was whistling "It's a Small World" and weaving the tram back and forth on the road late at night as we all returned from the park.

My best memory at the campground was my family's third trip, and the last one we made all together. My father had just been in an airplane crash in Nov., and had insisted we not cancel our X-mas trip. Christmas eve, my mother made a small turkey in the camper stove. We all felt very lucky to be there all together- looking at the pictures of what was left of that plane, there is no explaining how my father made it out OK. On Christmas day, we woke up and saw the stocking Mickey had left on the camper door with candy. It was a great trip.

This isn't my favorite (I have too many favorites) but DH still talks about the first time we stayed at FW in 1987 (also our first trip to DW). He just loved riding around FW on the bus and hearing the bus driver call out the upcoming stop- "Jack Rabbit Run" or "Sage Brush Way" or whatever. When we talk of retiring at DW, that's whay he wants to do-be a bus driver at FW so he can call out those names. Just wondering, since it's been 9 years since we've stayed there, do the bus drivers still do that?
