We just got our finalized FE groups for our upcoming cruise. I'm thinking of making each person in the room a little bag of ice cream toppings to use with the self serve ice cream machines, and then giving each cabin a CD of MNSSHP music (our cruise is right before Halloween)...do those sound okay?
We got great home made magnets with the cruise stats on it
a CD with cruise and Disney music on it
key chains.....all home made and Disney themed
What we didn't likehave been all the dollar store items....we are 2 adults.
We left all of those for the cabin steward to do with as he pleased
I think our 7 day 25 cabin FE had at least 5 ice cream kits. I was one of them, though it was a part of a larger gift. We got at least 3 sets of sprinkles. I ended up being the only one to give individual packs of oreos. I figure they work for ice cream, or not.
I have to say, candy is my personal least favorite thing to get because of all the free-flowing food and sweets on the cruise. But my kids LOVE it. So I limit what they can eat then pack up the rest and give it to the Club/Lab counselors on the last night. It ends up being a win for everyone that way.I will say that we got so much candy that even though we're a family of four, we left a big bag of candy in the stateroom for the steward to take, I hope the crew enjoyed it because we couldn't eat anymore!
I agree. The whole point is to spread a little Pixie Dust during your cruise.Actually, I think the whole thing has gotten to a strange point. What initially started out as a very modest exchange (stickers, candies, etc.) has become this thing where probably too many people feel pressure to come up with the most unique ideas that no one has done before - and it not only goes for the gifts they give out, but even for creating their fish extenders themselves! Now, I still think everyone's hearts are in the right place and everyone goes into it with all the right intentions. But there's no denying, that overall, the gifts have gotten more "elaborate" (and much more expensive in most cases). I just wonder where this is headed a few years from now.
So I have two..
1st is the one I received: back story. We were traveling right after the London Olympics. I had just giving birth the my youngest a few months before. I had shared that we had named her London and could not find anything with her name on it.
I received so many personalized items for her..
Onesies, washcloth, socks! We also received keychains and pens from the London Olympics from a couple traveling from the UK.
I loved it all!
Were all the sprinkles and toppings individually wrapped?

I've seen this type of statement a few times now, and I have to say it certainly comes across a little obnoxious. Seems like those who say that are making certain assumptions such as:
A) everyone has tons of free time on their hands
B) with all that free time everyone has, no one can think of a more enjoyable way to spend that time than making crafts
C) everyone is very creative, and highly skilled at making crafts.
I generally try to stay away from those types of items or am very selective in my rare uses of them. Maybe, for some people, they may not have a lot of other options. Everyone should be considerate of that. No one should be disparaging them on here. Afterall, I don't think it is consistent with the whole spirit of the FE exchange.

Hi. I just booked our first Disney cruise. Many other cruises but first for Disney. I'm interested in the fish extenders and would like to join in.
We are the Miller Family from Georgia.
Matt, Kathy and our daughter, Chani age 8
Our room number is 10086.
Am excited to have found this cute little extra thing we can do.
Thank you.Kathy, you will want to find your cruise meet thread and post this request there. They can be found here - http://www.disboards.com/forums/disney-cruise-meets.85/
