Favorite EPCOT restaurant?

Our itinerary has us going back to EPCOT a second evening to catch Illuminations. We already have ADRs at LeCellier for a different evening. What restaurant would you visit the second night? (DH is a fairly picky eater who sticks generally to foods like steak and potatoes, seafood, and basic italian.)

If we ate somewhere along the Boardwalk instead of in EPCOT, how early to make reservations to catch Illuminations at 9pm?

Here's what I told my brother for his last trip to WDW:

If you want to stick around until the end of the day and experience IllumiNations, here’s a tip to get a good seat. Make advanced reservations at the Rose & Crown (England) for one hour and 15 minutes before the show. Illuminations is normally at 9:00 p.m., so make your seating for 7:45 p.m. Show up about 10-15 minutes early and tell the host you’d like a seat outside so you can view IllumiNations. They’ll tell you they can’t promise anything, but we found that they will work very hard to accommodate your request. If you decide to do this, call and get your reservations as early in advance as possible. This trick used to be a secret, but more and more people are catching on to it.

The only other restaurant we ate in (other than Le Cellier) was Rose and Crown. It was a very nice meal and we would definately eat there again. It is actually pretty autentic to a UK pub too.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the wolrd showcase restaraunts or Coral Reef. Can I make a suggestion, how about a quick 5-10 minute walk or boat ride to either the Beach Club for The Cape may clam Bake, or to the Boardwalk to go either Flying fish or spoodles,make reservation for 630-645pm will give you plenty of time to make it back for illuminations.

I would try Marrakesh, my favorite Epcot restaurant. Spoodles is lovely as well.

We loved the Garden Grill in June. A lot of fun, great food, amazing dessert!

Also we ate in Germany, (can't remember the name) it was the buffet and we all enjoyed it. The food was great and the entertainment (German Band) was very fun

Over the years, we've eaten in Mexico (TS and CS), Japan (TS), Germany (TS), Morroco( CS) and Canada (TS). (oh, and pastries in France!)

My most favorite TS meal is by far, Le Cellier. Wonderful! And for CS, Tangierine Cafe in Morroco...yummy!

If we didn't have the kids with us, we'd just skip all the food and eat Pastries in France for meals...LOL But we have to be good role models!

Teppanyaki is very good and is a excellent expierience overall. The Rose & Crown is very good as well, which I guess can belooked upon as pleasently suprising as the English are not exactly world renowned for thier cuisine. On the Boardwalk, Spoodles is outstanding and for us it is a "must-do" every trip. Reservations for about 7:15 will give you plenty of time to enjoy your meal and stroll over to Epcot for a prime viewing spot.

I would say LeCellier. It was the best filet I've ever had. You can't beat the cream cheese mashed potatoes either. MMMMMM.

CS=Counter service restaurant

As far as Boardwalk goes, Spoodles, ESPN Zone and Flying Fish are all good restaurants. They are all different. If you are going to go to Boardwalk, I would give yourselves about an hour extra, half an hour to get back and then time to find a good spot. Of course, this depends on how busy the parks are. Illuminations is easy to see from all around the world showcase

My vote would be for Rose & Crown. Try the Guinesses Beef Stew - or the Cottage Pie. You can't go wrong with either.

Biergarten in Germany is our favorite in EPCOT! Great food and great entertainment!! Ticky Tocky! Ticky Tocky! Oy! Oy! Oy!! (I think that's what they are yelling!! )

My vote goes to LeCellier. Our families favorite!
